A resident of Moruca, North West District, Region One was on Friday arrested after he was caught with marijuana in his possession.
According to a police release on Sunday, ranks arrested Anthony Stoby and he is expected to be charged for the possession of marijuana at Kumaka waterfront.
Police ranks who were on mobile patrol duty when they observed the man was behaving disorderly.
He was approached and the ranks requested to conduct a search on him during which they found a knife in the waist of his pants. A further search of his left pants pocket revealed a transparent plastic bag containing 19 zip-lock plastic bags, each containing a quantity of leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be Cannabis Sativa.
Stoby was told of the offence committed and cautioned. He was arrested and escorted, along with the suspected Cannabis Sativa, to the Acquero Police station.
The cannabis was weighed in his presence and it amounted to 22.2 grammes.
