Can legal CBD products make you fail a drug test for work?

WFAA’s Jason Wheeler explains what’s happening to some prospective employees.

  1. What you fail to mention is that it would take a lot of CBD to get to a fail, as certain levels must be detected. If the amount of THC found in the test is below 50 nanograms per millilitre in the State of Tennessee, then the test is negative.

  2. So why don’t employers demand a test that can discern the difference between synthetic THC and marijuana THC? I mean geez, no one should lose their job just because science can’t do theirs.

  3. Can someone please help me? I’m applying for a job in TX and I’ve been using thc-a, will this make me fail the test like classic bud will or am I safe? Does it work the same, will prolonged use keep it in my system longer? My test is on 1/29/24 (monday) I really need this job, please help

  4. Just stick with the hard stuff and getting drunk. You can enjoy a Friday night of snorting lines off hookers bums and most cases by Monday show clean for a work drug test. You can get drunk every night after work with no problem.

  5. I get tested every 3 months for my Adderall refill. This last time, they wouldn’t write my script because they said I tested positive for “benzos”, which I now know means Xanax. I’ve never taken that in my life & we can’t figure out what could’ve caused this. Tea tree oil, energy drinks, headache meds.. Anyone ever heard of this happening before?

  6. And with all the low Staffing cross country.. why would they build vape sotres like this inside the malls and next to Walmart and target if it's going to be such a problem especially when new companies looking for new younger workers

  7. But instead you used "legal" CBD products. 🤣Also, Delta-8 THC does not fall under the legal classification of synthetic cannabinoids. It is a cannabinoid that occurs naturally in trace concentrations in the cannabis plant. There are some companies now that are apparently making a semi-synthetic version but to call Delta-8 straight up synthetic THC when it occurs naturally is just wrong.
