It is also important to eat ground flax seeds instead of whole flax seeds. It is possible that whole flax seeds can pass through the body without being absorbed in the intestines.
question about hemp seeds. I understand they have a 1 to 4 ratio of Omega-3 to omega-6 which is deemed to be beneficial. My concern is with the high percentage of polyunsaturated fats which for hemp seeds is at about 75% of the hemp oil. From what I've read polyunsaturated fats can become easily oxidized in the body is that correct from what you have read? If so does this not apply to hemp seeds? Would you be able to tell me more about this as it can affect us all?
Flaxseed is better based on its 4:1 ratio of omega 3 to omega 6. Since omega 3 fatty acids counteract the inflammatory effects of omega 6's, it's best to keep this ratio as high as possible. BTW, there's no such thing as a "hempseed"; the hemp plant is the male cannabis plant. Male plants produce pollen, not seeds. It's the female cannabis plant (i.e., the marijuana plant) that produces seeds. Marijuana seeds have many fewer omega 3's than omega 6's, so I would consume them only in moderation.
Hemp seeds are healthier they are the healthiest foods in the world currently so this video is wrong, there is statements from experts that say hemp seed cures cancer and the reason it's being hog washed is due to pharmaceutical companies and governments losing money because cancer is a money making business. bastards
This is dumb, add both to your diet, they're both full of nutrients, not sure why a video about nutrition would be making a point to chose between the two.
Lol this is dumb, they are both good in different ways; why not have both in your diet as opposed to one or the other. Though I do eat a serving of hemp almost daily.
flax is a hybrid, has estrogenic effects and has high amount of phytates so its nutrients are barely digestible. hemp has Little to no phytates so its nutrition is highly digestive, also has chlorophyll which cleanses the body, blood and lymphs. hemp > any other seed
This is an extremely inaccurate video.. it totally discredits hempseeds and hempseed oil. Overall health wise the hemp seed/oil is better then both flaxseed and chai.
Allergic to Hemp.
So hemp seeds are pretty useless compared to flaxseed. Cool so no need to ever sell hemp seeds
Thank you PBSL for sharing!
Flax seeds not great for men .
However… I’ve heard that men should limit flax seed consumption, as they suppress testosterone production.

Yay WFPB!!!
I use hemp flax and chia as oatmeal
I didn't watched the video I just wanted to comment that HEMP SEED IS THE GREATEST SEED THAT EXISTS ON EARTH!!!!!

Are brown and gold flaxseeds the same nutritionally or is one better than the other?
HEMP SEEDS! THEY ARE NOT A HYBRID. NUFF SAID
I travel and it’s difficult for me to grind the flax seeds. Consequently, I consume flax seeds to improve my omega6/omega3 ratio.
Why not both?
Why choose? Lol
But hemp seed content CBD and a little THC that i need. I'll pick both for my breakfast

I use mix both in a smoothie.
The comparison should be between flaxseeds & chia seeds. Apples to apples!!
Flax!
Well I eat them both anyway.
Hemph is not a complete protein. You need other sources to get complete protein.
I blend them both and put in my daily salad. Win Win!
Best is to mix each other !

Why not include chia?
I do not understand! Why is this important? It is seeds! Eat both! And get on with your life!

Nothing has helped my PMDD like hemp seeds! Cannabis (all parts) is a wonderful plant!
They're not comparable, really. Both are great!
Does flaxseeds contain cadmium?
Take both
are there any issues with eating both?
This is an extremely inaccurate video.. it totally discredits hempseeds and hempseed oil. Overall health wise the hemp seed/oil is better then both flaxseed and chai.
Can i use both?
Do sprouts of these seeds increase their nutrients? Anybody tried yet?
no mention of phytoestrogen? why?
Very good
When eating omega 3 and 6, isn't it the ratio of the two that's important?
