  5. As a 14-year-old who does not consume any cannabis products, I support the legalization and decriminalization of weed for several reasons. Firstly, I believe in individual freedom and personal choice, as long as it doesn't harm others. By legalizing and decriminalizing marijuana, we can reduce the criminalization of non-violent offenses, which often disproportionately affect marginalized communities. Additionally, marijuana has shown potential medical benefits for patients with various conditions, and legal access would ensure safe and regulated products for those who need them. Moreover, when compared to alcohol, marijuana has demonstrated fewer adverse effects on the body, such as liver damage and addiction potential. By shifting the focus towards education, harm reduction, and responsible use, society can better address drug-related issues while empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their own well-being.
