Many people thought legalizing marijuana would negatively impact our state. The truth is, it's been great, and it's been an economic boom for our state. Small towns where their main streets were deserted, are now booming with tourists, and activity. People are not allowed to smoke it in public, but people do, but it's not a significant problem. I've lived here my whole life, and legal or not, people would smoke it outside; Red Rocks during a concert for instance, or Civic Center park during a celebration like 4/20. I don't think that once it became legal, people all of a sudden started smoking it. It's mostly people who did it before, and people from out of state who use it. If they are driving under the influence now, they were before. I honestly believe that all states should legalize it. It is a great resource to boost a state's economy, and it would cut down on the black market, and drug cartels.
big problem is study show about 25% of people that normally drink alcohol are instead using marijuana. …it's really cutting into alcohol profits……..their not letting go easily
also teens are using it less and people in general are using it less the ones who are using it are using it for medical purposes where its completely legal
in the states where its only medical are using it recreationally thx for this ha bisky vid
If the past 100 years have taught us anything about prohibition it is that prohibition does not work, it's time we try different approaches #EndTheFailedWarOnDrugs
WTF does a survey prove? If the survey asked "Have you ever molested a child?", I'm sure the results would be lower than the true statistics of the rest of the country, Dum Dum
Back when I was 17-19 I would frequently find people who would sell me heroin or acid but not beer. It was actually much harder to find hard drugs than to get someone to buy me booze. That is until a few of my friends got old enough to buy it so I expect its the same with legal weed. I wonder if teens that have legal recreational weed use have a higher than normal usage rate for ecstasy, acid, mushrooms, meth, etc?
It makes sense kids want to try drugs and drink more were there's more austerity measures in place because it's like the golden apple in the garden of Eden they will want to do it just to see what it's like to rebel essentially
Self-reporting is a useless as a measure in determining drug use. If I was a teen and wanted t use MJ I would naturally deny it as admitting could only make it harder for me to get it. Btw the lie that whites and blacks use at same rate is also based on serf-reporting. In reality blacks use at much higher rates as the arrests show.
So, how many more peaceful men and women will be imprisoned for this shit? Needs to end. Now.

Less dealers, less access. Duh!
All this talk about the black market and the white market gets no love or attention
Cannabis is a far better word then Marijuana. Marijuana sounds so Mexican. Get it?
Wouldn't it just make more sense to legalize and regulate all drugs? Hasn't the prohibition of alcohol taught us anything?
Psychology 101: Illegal = Cool. Legal = Not cool.
Teen smoking marijuana is still illegal though.
This is harshin' my buzz.
I wonder if anyone has done an impact study on the amount of people who can no longer pass a drug test in Colorado since legalization.
so we should ban guns from people who only obey the law
Awesomeness!

Actually, teen use is up, but the kids are paranoid from smoking so much dope, so they lie on these surveys.
