  1. So jealous of ya warm weather state guys . Have a 14 plant setup in backyard (in ground) took two seasons to cultivate the soil right no I can grow monsters , but have a 4-4.5 month window to get it right . Do grow indoor as well but it's just not the same ( yield flavor durability) Always learning as I go hit r miss

  2. Poke flags into the ground. Moles don't like ground vibration the flag or a wind spinner does. Might work for gopher? Then I flood their holes with the hose. Thank God we don't have gophers in WA .

  3. You got gophers? So you don't have ferrets? You set traps, so you take them somewhere to either be euthanized or just relocate them.
Funny how all these pot head/hippies want to work with nature but don't know how to do what needs be done.

You have gophers so I know your not building soil the way you should..I'll help you.. alpacas and rabbits. Donkeys to protect the alpacas, and Donkeys would break legs with gopher holes.

If you knew alpacas had the best NPK manure on the planet and rabbits had the best nitrogen manure on the planet(not hot load fyi) why would you use anything else?

Also why would you let your dog interact with your plants? K9 urine/feces in the garden….yummmy.

I'm sorry but yall have a long way to go still… City boys!

  4. Growing in the ground is by far the best but them damn gophers have taken entirely to many of my girls so I grown inground, kind of, as I've made raised beds that are sunk down about 6 or seven inches below ground and have dimensions of 36"W X 48"L X 30" high so only 24" are above ground level but what I've done to keep them nasty ass critters out is I've attached 1/2" X 1/2" stainless steel expanded metal to the bottom and the gophers will not be able to get through but the tap root can go as deep as needed and it mixed with native soil (about 40%) the rest is very rich soil with outstanding amendments. But inground growing is definitely the way to go! Excellent video!

  5. The guys I Kno out there say if they ever sell there land theyl hull the soil outa there first. Lots of work to create living soils. I do it here in Colorado n to me it's a very unique special thing

  6. Being from Iowa and then going to California and farming in Humboldt county soil.. I realized what they meant when Iowa farmground /soil was referred to as black gold.. it made me appreciate Iowa quite a bit more… All I could think of is man if only we had Iowa soil in northern California…

  7. What happens if you harvested hang it to dry for a week and its kinda too dry now. Its sticky and smells good but its to dry and falls apart some how why does that happen?

  8. Hmmmm interesting take on in soil cultivation…the unique Flavor of your product! Here in Ventura County the native soil is mostly river bottom farmland…Bakersfield by the sea.
I've been using containers to great effect, but now ya got me thinking 🤔

  9. I grow in the garden and a few on the deck in canvas bags. The in-ground plants are always twice as big. Mine are started inside under LED lights. Come June 1st, they're ready to go. In winter, I'll grow a couple in the box for giggles. I certainly don't need the bud.

  10. I disagree. In ground uses less water. Roots go deeper. Important to never let plant get root bound if potting up. It will remember container shape. Expand your water ring so roots stretch out. Also mulch. Leaves make great organic mulch. But following yr add lime to soil to raise ph. From use of leaves. Good lime has mag in as well. So both are great.

  11. Super cool. Casey & Derek are good guys. This is the past. This is how the Emerald Triangle has done it for decades. Unfortunately this type of business model can't compete in today's market. He'll make more off the veggies than the ganja…….

  12. Water usage is literally exactly the opposite of what is stated. I didn't water my garden once last year other than at transplant.
I find the ground to get warm sooner too . Really starting to get growing sooner because of temperature differences.

  13. I've grown both ways. Outdoor done well has more intense psychoactive effects , and a better terp profile. I just like having several grow seasons, and all the reasons stated in this video. The control
