I live in a state with legal MJ laws. None of them say a medical MJ patient cant own a gun. They only prohibit them from having both on them at the same time. No ones 2nd amendment is being denied.

Our laws make NO sense at all! You can have a case of Vodka right next to your gun in the trunk of the car, but God forbid you have a joint or two. Same happens on the job, you drank a whole bottle of rum last night and your boss can't touch you…..but not if you smoked a joint two weeks ago and fail a drug test.
🤔….hmm , lets think about this for a moment . The facts are ; 1. There is a huge movement to disarm the citizens of America . 2. The 2nd Amendment protects American citzens rights to purchase , keep and bear arms . 3 . People who are demonstrably unfit at all times to properly handle potentially deadly weapons are prohibited access to them , ( mentally ill , mentally deficient , convicted criminals with weapons use , ect. ) . Many mass shooting perpetrators have been found to be drug users with various drugs in their system at the time of their commission of their crimes . 🤔 Could it be possible that this bill in question could be a set up to allow drug users to purchase and carry firearms , and then later point to crimes by drug users to be the basis for banning firearms from everyone , thus finally getting rid of the 2nd amendment all together ? Just food for thought , qui bono ?
Can someone please explain to me … what's the difference between a DWI driver and some one that just smoked weed or is on weed carriage a firearm? Why would a DWI not allowed to drive while is intoxicated but yes someone intoxicated with marihuana is allowed to drive a car and possess a firearm? Please be respectful with answers. Thank you.

Cannabis and THC can be protected with the 9th amendment and declaration of Independence pursuit of happiness. This is stealthy encroachment. Marijuana does less harm with its effects than alcohol ever has or ever will. That is fact. Truth is this is a violation of civil rights. Commerce clause does not hold.

I dont use drugs or drink alcohol but i feel like as long as your not drunk or high while using your firearm you should have the same rights as any other law abiding citizen. Be safe everyone!

People smoking weed have always been legally allowed to own fire arms. Because it is a right not a privilege and any law that is passed that infringes on that right is null and voided.
It might be interesting to compare the ability of the government to deny an individual’s 2nd amendment rights under this scenario to some of the very high (pun intended) profile individuals who can afford to legally protect themselves with hired armed security personnel while actually flaunting their cannabis use. Privilege vs right.
