HARMONY — Authorities seized more than a thousand plants and dozens of pounds of processed cannabis in the latest illegal marijuana bust.
Somerset County Sheriff’s Office executed a drug search warrant at a home on South Road in Harmony following a month-long investigation.
A group of investigators from six different agencies searched the residence and found 1277 plants, 25 pounds of processed marijuana — as well as drug-related documents and paraphernalia.
Since the beginning of the year, the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office has executed 15 search warrants at illegal grow sites. They’ve seized more than 400 pounds of processed marijuana and over 18,000 marijuana plants.
Officials say criminal charges will be forthcoming as the investigation progresses.
