Marijuana use is growing in popularity, and with it, more people with ADHD are considering marijuana. Is this a good choice?

  1. Marijuana! Not the way to Go. In The Long Run. U Lose! Try Acupuncture. The System Can’t Be. Trusted No Telling What They Lace It. With. Dispenser on Every Corner In The. Hood. Don’t Trust It

  2. not Marijuana, cannabis. I use it constantly and it has helped enormously…better than any pharmaceuticals prescribed….it is a miracle for me

  3. You sound and look high, and the background sounds like a perpetual bong rip just adds to it all lol.Just a little joke, thanks for the breakdown on the topic.

  4. Pot edibles helps when I microdosed amount, but im highly sensitive to thc, so its easily overdone..

Cbd edibles help but later accumulate in the system and make my mind dense, which is bad for me.

Smoking CBD works well, but i don't really want to dry flower vape, because it may be bad for my lungs.

  5. I have been self medicating my ADHD symptoms with Sativa vape for over a year now with great success. Like 1 puff, 2-3 times per week when I am overwhelmed. It really helps focus, my ability to get mundane tasks done, improves my temperament/patience and helps me connect emotionally better with others.

  6. A mild dose of some strains such as one called Mimosa can calm the noise in the brain and can loosen up the tendency to be stuck on something or unable to start something.
Another strain called Durban Poison can help in the same way with a more stimulating effect.

I use it in a dry herb vaporiser.
Dr Dustin Sulak has an great book on using cannabis medicinally called "Handbook of Cannabis for Clinicians: Principles and Practice"
Apparently the tincture are better. But its hard to get a tincture with the strain I want unless I grow it myself and make it myself which is something I might do.
Tinctures seem to have a better smoother (more stable) effect, whereas inhaling creates a spike in effect but then goes away fairly quickly compared to tinctures.

Only issue is the stigma surrounding Cannabis can cause me not to take it as much as I would like to since I am sensitive to getting red eyes even though I take a low dosage.

I am probably overconcerned about making a good impression when meeting people which leads me to only take Cannabis when I'm at home.

Its legal here in Canada but the stigma is problematic with the stereotype of stoners being lazy under-acheiving couch potatoes…

In my default sober state due to what is probably innatentive ADHD, people can already get the impression I'm high even though I'm not (even way before I ever touched Cannabis).

In reallity, for myself if I take it as I described it actually helps me get stuff done (as long as I'm not on the Moon of course and it is an appropriate strain ).
I also do better if I take a bit of CBD but not too much or else the CBD will block the effects of THC ( I take less than the total amount of THC ).
Too much THC can cause a bit of anxiety (even at a mild dose) whereas CBD alleviates it in my case and adds a feeling of softness to the harshness of THC.

I'm still waiting on a diagnosis so I can get the proper medication. However Im sure I have the innatentive type of ADHD since all the behavior patterns have been present for a long time
I grew up in France where ADHD is not really recognized by most Doctors.
Technically it exists but in all my years over there I've never heard it being mentioned once and the only thing I was treated for were anxiety issue which have improved now thanks to alternative medecines and martial arts yet I do seem to have all the behavior patterns of innatentive ADHD which I have a very hard time overcoming.

  7. I started medical marijuana a few months ago for phantom pain (it works great) and noticed it works better at treating my ADHD symptoms than anything I've tried before. I haven't taken my Adderall in 3 months and my productivity has actually gone up.

It makes it easy to sit still, it slows down my mind just enough where I can get control of my train of thought (a side effect of that is I now have almost full control of what i hyperfocus on), and it slows down my mind just enough for me to have a second thought about an action before I'm impulsive.

I only really get these effects with a dry herb vaporiser. Smoking or eating makes it harder to concentrate.

Also I never tried marijuana before my 30s so that could potentially also play a role.

  8. Was there any consideration as to what strain of cannabis was used? I have ADHD and use it to manage my symptoms. I tried multiple medications but all gave me some significant side effects. I find that not every strain or terpene is good for ADHD. Some make me more anxious and others help me to focus on tasks. There is a lot more to consider than just the plant in general as it is a lot more complicated than that (the variety of cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, etc.)

  9. Hello Doctor, i was smoking thc for 15 years and i was trying to stop it for the last 6-8 years but i could not, i knew what i had to but i couldnt get rid of it, so 3 months ago i found out what i have 99% of the ADHD symptoms, i didnt know what ADHD is, so i stopped smoking cold turkey 3 weeks ago and i dont want to go back but insomnia, impulsivity and lack of sleep is kind of killing me. I am living in the Netherlands and here the waiting lists for ADHD treatments is very long, 3 months or more. From some research i did i found out microdosing thc+cbd might help, do you reccomend trying? and would you reccomend any specific strains ? Thank you very much for your informational video, we are lucky there are people like you in our world.

  10. I have a thc vape that i only puff 2- 5 times a day and it helps me focus and slow down my thoughts, i think it only gives negative effects on those who get high on it every day

  11. Have you heard of ASMR sir? You're very entrancing and informative to listen to. I'll have to check out if you have other videos because I could listen to you for hours. Very well done.

  12. Marijuana drastically enhanced my ADHD issues but full spectrum CBD oil had a incredibly positive effect on my ADHD, anxiety, depression, body pains, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
