They wont even treat me at ER, going to ER is waste of time, they called me crack head, they dont understand that sickle cell people have horrible pains. I experienced racism way more in the hospital than anywhere. Last month i just stayed at home, death is way more better option than them taking my dignity at ER.
You are correct about doctors not believing you're in pain because of the "numbers". I have horrible hematology doctors here in my state. My state is about to open dispensaries here in January. I attended a community meeting last week about how to sign up for a medical card. It just passed legislation here and I am just trying to find out more about it. And like you, I do not have a bone marrow match either. My question to you is, does your CBD oil have THC in it, and is one better than the other for pain? I have been living with SCD for 48 years. I have hemochromatosis from the many blood transfusions over the years. I am also in graduate school right now and it is very stressful and tough. Growing up with the disease has delayed my educational process but I'm still fighting. I encourage you to do the same. Thank you for your input and be well.
