  1. I thought this was known for a while, I remember reading that some of the scent molecules are very similar to the ones skunks produce, and they interact with our scent receptors the same way

  2. Dude. The number of arguments stoners would start over how AWFUL that stuff smells is one of my biggest pet peeves.

College SUCKED when you weren't a smoker. That stuff got so old, I swear.

  3. Ok for the non smokers let me explain the smell thing. Eventually you stop smelling the skunk and start smelling the “under layers”. It’s like an alcoholic being able to smell if a whiskey is smoked or if a wine is fruity.

  4. If your weed is skunky, get a better dealer.
Ive been smoking for 15 years and i have no clue what people mean with skunk smell.
Not even when i started smoking.i always felt they had very distinct differences in the smell.
As in that they Arent even similar. At all.

If you percieve weed as Skunk smell, you simply have bad smell receptors. Smell works the same way flavor does, some people can call something like a store bought muffin 'tasty' where for others it tastes like preserves and margerine.

High quality consumables are ingrained in your nature, or not.
I see plenty of people happy with gas station egg salad. But those are the same people who call indigo and ultramarine simply 'blue' and dont percieve the differences as prominent elements.
They will eat parmazan, pecorino and manchego and not even notice the diffences.

  5. You clearly don't know that cannabis has way more smells and way more profiles than just skunk….. How about the sweet sugar cookie or the sweet sorbet or the sweet pine…. I hate how people always say it's just a skunk. When in actuality , it has so many different flavors, variants and nuances
