Hey Brian, would you say that the Bulgarian split squat is spine friendly in someone with a disc herniation at l5 s1 with notably good form. And do you have any other quad exercises you would recommend. And thank you for putting all that info out there. we really appreciate it.
Hola Brian saludos desde México, what you just said is exactly what PT are been doing, at least in mi city, PHISIOTHERAPY is relatively new here, all PT works almost exactly with the same procedure, NO ASSESMENT, FEW QUESTIONS, ELECTRO IN THE ZONE WITH PAIN, THE ULTRASOUND, A FEW STRETCHES HERE AND THERE, NO HOMEWORK , and here you go, your generic treatment. A shame
I am suffering from lumbar spinal stenosis since January 2022 due to lifting a 25 litre Water can and injuring an l4 l5 and l5 s1 disc bulge …
Undergone physical therapy and chiropractic but still the peripheral neuropathy in my right leg still persists, I get a glute pain radiating to the calf and feet but tolerable to do my walking abd daily chores ..
Do you have any good advise for me for a complete cure ….
DPT here. Totally agree. I started out as a personal trainer, got my Bachelors in Athletic Training, got my doctoral degree and literally did biomechanics research in low back pain.
Most professionals are terrible at treating back pain. Most clinics will top out at 20 lbs or 40 lbs as a maximum load. I literally bring in kettlebells and barbells into every clinic I work at.
The problem with my profession is insurance companies and big medical companies looking to make as much money as possible.
I love how this guy sh#T$ on all professions, but is very narrow minded with his own approach. Basically generalizes everyone – and then adds a statement well however there is couple out there that are good .. come on
Stay away from your run of the mill PT places, find a good sports related PT/athletic trainer that can put together a detailed individual program for you
Hi everyone. Thanks Brian for the great information. I bought Back Mechanic from Kindle and now I wanted to buy The Gift of Injury. However, in the kindle store I get the message that it is unavailable. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there another way to buy the digital version other than kindle? I am from South America, so buying the physical version can be expensive due to shipping. Thank you!
