I use aluminum wire to secure it to the branch. I found raccoons like to grab them and pull them down, and even climb up the tree on to the limb and try to pull it off the try.
It seems like all deer, bucks, does and fawns are more likely to interact with a rope or limb that is lower, 3.5’-4’, giving it more interaction and scent. The bucks will regularly work taller ones that are 5’-6’ high, but less does and fawns interact with them.
How do you get the correct rope without scent on it so it don’t smell like store-bought I guess if it matters or not
