Oh my God, this woman doesn’t even care that this thing is illegal to give kids with autism marijuana. If you really care about your freaking kid, don’t give him freaking marijuana to poison him and make him high. You don’t do that to people with autism. What is the matter with with these people, it’s OK to give kids with disabilities marijuana. I’m sorry I’m disgusted and angry that some people harm the kids like that. It’s gonna make him more messed up. Poor kid. I feel bad for him. don’t even have him as a child, what does this people think they are? I hope the government put that woman behind bars for giving kid an autistic kid marijuana. It’s child abuse and it’s poison your own kids. My own biological mother was an alcoholic. I was in her belly when she was drinking and it messed up my brain and I was diagnosed with ADHD and other issues. This is why you can’t have parents do this own kids with autism and give them marijuana. Unacceptable. There’s other suggestions you could use besides marijuana or legal drugs to have a kids be drugged out and ridiculous.
Yes, people with autism can get a euphoric high from cannabis although I can't say it's in exactly the same way an allistic person would. This is part of what many autistic people need as well to cope with their clinical depressions, their exclusion and the dismissal of their issues by neurotypical people. People on the spectrum go through crazy amounts of anxiety and just like any stressed neurotypical person needs to blow off steam (by going out, drinking and whatever), autistic people need the same thing and probably a lot more too. That doesn't mean that whenever an autistic person is taking THC, he or she is off in a different dimension and not able to function.
Just to paint a picture … I've done plenty of drugs, legal and illegal, and I've never had the same effects that NT people have. When drinking, doing LSD or molly, I am still the one people count on to be the responsible one. Even when I'm what others would describe as "high", I still use my brain effectively and I can still function properly. I've even done an IQ test when I was on LSD and still scored 132.
When it comes to cannabis, to me it dulls the mental pain I go through every single moment of the day, just enough so I can go on with my day. I dulls the triggers that make me go into a meltdown or a shutdown which usually take me out for days (if not weeks). It allows me to become a functioning member of society without having flashes of rage tear through me because I have a natural problem with transitions (from one task to another, from sleeping to waking up, from working to going home, etc). d
I have tried to simply rely on CBD but I can't say it does anything for me. I really need the THC to properly get me through the day and that 1 drug does more for me than (the highly addictive) painkillers, anti-depression drugs, anti-anxiety drugs and so on that "professionals" would prefer to give me instead. But I can stop using THC for weeks, even months on end without any withdrawal symptoms, as long as I've built up some mental buffers to cope with this very harsh neurotypical world we've been dropped in.
My parents are against the use of marijuana, but i have autism, and i will honestly say, that 1 drop of oil now and then when i feel like i'm lacking control, really helps me a lot. I'm capable of focusing now, i'm capable of being productive, instead of having my head think of 2102401925907126 things at the same damn time, i can finally rest and just think about nothing, all thanks to marijuana. Only problem with this is, my parents still disapproves, and has cut me off for the usage, nothing i say makes them understand me, life of a kid born to be a problem i guess

High functioning autistic here. Mom never told me, doctors never mentioned it in all my years. I suffered in school, couldn't focus, a ticking clock was too distracting also and the other kids.. my God, it was like a cacophony all the time at school. I was a C student in math, history and science. I just didn't want to pay attention to anything that wasn't creative like music, art, writing etc. Fast forward to 19, my first time smoking weed. I COULD FOCUS. Fast forward another several years. (Because I was shocked I even graduated and wanted to chill before going back to that hell.) So, my first trip to college, still smoking, I was on the Dean's list even with classes like Accounting 101 and Math with Business Application. (Please keep in mind that I had to take basic biology in my senior year of high school just to graduate.) But college, lol, I'd smoke right before taking tests and was able to actually sit and focus and amazingly remember exactly what I needed to. That drug is a miracle to the neurodivergent. ❤❤❤❤ Edit: normal people are like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo on weed, autistic/adhd is like Velma on weed.

I have Asperger’s and weed is one of the only substances that calms me down without other negative side effects. unfortunately it’s illegal where I live, and because of that it’s dodgy to acquire without solid connections, hardly worth the hassle getting it it’s pretty bummer lol 👎
