  1. Answer :There are way too many possible scenario's for the title question to be logical.
EG: If you are growing SOG, SCROG, INDOOR, OUTDOOR and many other variables.

  2. I kept nipping off 2-3 leaves around every two days and it still sunted the growth. But continued like a wild fire after I stopped trimming 5 days later.
Next time I'm going to try removing all I need at once near the end of the vegetative stage.
Cheers a bunch! You are the go to guy for me when it comes to this stuff!

  3. After y try schwazzing y m using it in/outdoor in most of case you Will have 30% more buds y try 3grow whit 2same plant whit and 2same plant whitout schwazzing if you do it right that Will increase the bud site à lot its very nice when you have 200…400 watts led light

  5. Don't ever trim a fan leave that's connected to a budsite. Only those that are directly connected to the stalks. Personally I tuck instead of pluck. Except for any dead and dying leaves.

  6. The leaves have many important functions.

    * Act like solar panels to capture and provide energy (top of leaves)

    * They have "windows" or ports on the bottom that regulate;
    Water out
    Co2 in
    Oxygen out.

    * Act as a warehouse to store nutrients.

It would seem If you remove too many leaves, the plant needs to regrow leaves to support it's needs.
Which would cause a stall or sag in growth.

If you remove too leaves how does the water get out?

Indoors you will only get so much penetration depending on your light(about 18-24 inches). Trim lower and keep above pot clear.

  7. 2:00 I suggest you do a bit of a research on the basics of plant chemicals and how they grow. The exlusive idea in cannabis cultivation, that plants "focus" more on upper parts when you defoliate is probably the biggest bro science around.

Plants need two things to grow: Water (+nutrients) flow from roots in a tube system to where they are needed. There is plenty of water and it makes no sense trying to focus this on upper part. There is enough for every part of the plant (and if not that's a problem on it's own)

The only other source of "material" for plant growth is light (+CO2 but there's plenty of that for the whole plant too).

Light penetrates leaves and leaves grow naturally for the lightconditions they grow in. Plants also cannibalize lower leaves that are now too shady to be of use. If you defoliate (without advanced trainings to refill canopy), the very same light penetration as before happens in the upper leaves but as you now removed lower leaves (that added energy as they still catched light) all the penetrated light now hits the ground and gets wasted. There is zero sctientifc explanation to be found through the cannabis literature how defoliation helps increasing yield nor any proof that it does. Yet it would be so easy to prove with a simple clone parallel grow

  8. I really don't care for the term "defoliation." Too many people misunderstand it and really stunt their plants by peeling off way too much foliage – right when the plant is trying to put on a massive growth spurt at the beginning of flowering. Simply removing older leaves as they wear out, making sure the plant has light and air getting through it, and of course always removing damaged or sickly leaves is plenty. It's something a good grower should do as maintenance here and there, as opposed to just stripping off a large percentage of leaves all at once.

Frankly lollipopping is a bit over-rated and often over-done, too…. many times people see a good idea and really take it too far.
