  1. Dr. Tyler, thanks for sharing. I’ve known I had scoliosis since probably age 10 and was made to think I was abnormal but I learned to cope and deal with it. I’ve had doctors tell me surgery was absolutely necessary if I wanted to live a ‘normal’ life otherwise everything would be inhibited. So as you can see, from a very young age, I was being programmed mentally to believe it was not good. I just did me, focused on strength training which has helped me immensely and continue to enjoy life. Thanks for a very positive perspective on a condition that seems to sometimes focus on perfection of the human body. Respect to you man. Still need to come to the US for a chiro visit. The Y String so intrigues me!

  2. Let me save myself over $200 a month and remove my kids out of dance classes until they’re adults 😂😂 but really, wtf. I’ll keep an eye on this for them. Thanks for informing us! 🩷

  3. Thank you for the information on scoliosis. 😊 I have a hunch back that needs to be taken care of. 🙏🏻 If you marry me, may I set up a Florida chiropractic small business for you here in the sunshine state with all my assets accumulated? 🥰 We have a big Asian American community near Lotte Market Plaza in New Tampa area 🙏🏻

  4. Not me as a 28 year old who just found out I have scoliosis and I grew up as a dancer! So interesting. Also makes sense why I just get pain behind one scapula. Would love to hear if there’s research behind dancers and scoliosis or more about your anecdotes.

  5. Could you please explain more of the cause and solutions for scoliosis? Are there effective corrective exercises, stretches for some common case? What I know is scoliosis usually involve twisting of the spine. Thank you.

  6. Thanks for explaining that scoliosis is not all bad. I feel like whenever someone finds out I have scoliosis they always go to straight to the "do you need/have you had surgery" question when a majority of scoliosis doesn't need surgery or even bracing. Maybe it's because I usually add that I was diagnosed when I was 6 and that my thoracic curve is 42 and lumbar curve is 29 and show my x-ray which freaks everyone out. But even borderline surgery curves are nothing to freak out or stress about because you can still live a normal life, I still did gymnastics for 17 years, currently run xc and track collegiately, and will be starting PT school next year.

  7. I found out about 11 months ago i have mild scoliosis. I did not have pain for a long time but now I do. Chiro the past 10 months has been helping. Interested in lifting. I was in dance from preschool until 5th grade. Never heard of that connection before 😮

  8. Thank you for taking the time to explain that, also i have a question what if my moves feel asymmetric like my left side feels different from right side doing the same move, like doing bench press or even lifting my arms does that come from Scoliosis ?

    hope u're having a good day 🙂

  9. Maybe you could interview Kelly Slater. -he’s has some level of it, but spent 20+ at the top of the competitive surfing world. I wonder how he’s coped with it

  10. Thank you! I recently learned I have mild scoliosis (which I've always suspected, so no surprise). But I AM relieved to know my spine isn't somehow more fragile from having a slight curvature. Maybe from the incessent self-cracking, though…. 🙈💀 (seriously, I need to stop before I injure myself, but I can't 😭)

Btw, the facial hair looks excellent on you!

  11. Hi Dr. Tyler, i have mild lower back and upper back scoliosis(shoulder and neck problem too), I found a chiro in jkt a week ago and he told me that I needed to see him 2 X a week for 24 sessions and all my problem would go away, basically he promised me that all my problem will go away in 12 weeks! may i ask for your opinion? I haven't bought the 24 package sessions yet (they were really pushing it though), i told them I will think about it however the clinic had scheduled my next appointment this friday. please do let me know what do u think? thank you!

  12. Describe the fermentation process…. In essay form. That was my final in Micro Biology in nursing school… good thing my hubby’s cousin made his own beer in a bathtub so he described it to me at length a few days before the final…. I really don’t recommend fermenting anything in a bath tub. Pickles, please do a gut video. Describe like Scobies ( that sun tea trend ) and Kimchi and just like why diets with like the right bacteria and also gelatin like how much are we supposed to get of that. Bone broth soup, you know crunch it up on here go crunchy haha. We lived in the Quad cities when worked in NICU as a nurse and you know what I’m talking about all of the Palmer students had babies at our hospital. The NICU was so crunchy we all smelled like essential oils and made green smoothies daily. Also, please discuss bulging discs… what are they and why do doctors want to operate on something that might just need an adjustment. Is cracking our own back, or neck really that bad? 😅😂. Why, tell us the why. What is the best mattress, pillow, bed type I mean my Thai father was an ob and he slept on the floor since his back felt bette that way. In Thailand, the beds are wooden boards and firm mattresses so riddle me that sand man what the heck? 😮love it. I’m another happa too half Asians taken over haha. Just kidding, but yeah and get married your gf and you are adorable!!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉. I came to the channel because I was in between chiros and when my back is bad I like to watch cracking… is that a thing? Like, my hubby was like I can always tell when your back hurts since the Chiro videos come back. Oh, the ring dinger… how bad is that for you? Is it? I mean how different then other adjustments I get that it’s all the way down hitting all of the areas, but like really what’s up with it why are folks afraid or is it that good that surgeons are like nope give me my work back. What’s the best way to sit when I’m charting?

  13. I just finished watching this video and I have to say how infomrative it was. You made it easy to understand scoliosis. Thank you for making videos like this. You're the best!!

  14. Do a video with recommendations how one should think of symptomatic disc herniations along with lifestyle, exercise changes and what can one expect for the future. There is SO MUCH conflicting information

  15. 45-50 years ago Scoliosis was a big boogeyman in school! (Riverside, CA) We were separated by gender and checked for Scoliosis in the gym. It was really a big deal back then. It was basically talked about like it was a disease or deformity! It was mostly a issue in grade school and I don’t remember much being brought up in middle school, but it was a different structure of multiple classes instead of one class with multiple taught subjects.
Until I started watching chiropractic videos, I had no idea that Scoliosis wasn't that big of a deal! I thought these poor people were deformed and had to wear those back brace things forever or have surgery!
