  2. Meredith, I would call dairy hay with pretty much alfalfa in the make up of it. If your grass had the better protein make up, I congratulate you. It’ll make good feed for the cows. The grass really has a hard time in my area being above 14% protein maybe another point.. those hemp bales had better be wrapped with that much green in it. Take needs to be wider set where the windrow forms. Doesn’t look very heavy in the bale numbers but also what’s left in the field looks like waste.

  3. I wonder whether the rake has the ability to run faster while traveling at a lower ground speed? It would have the effect of possibly gnawing away at the thicker stalks as it travels over them. If they weren’t so green they’d break apart as they crumble. If there was a place to mount knives they might cut if they were opposed to the way they twist. I wonder if there’s a specialty rake that you could borrow ideas from to make yours work better?
As for the knife you might be better with a bowsaw that you could mount on the back/ side of the tractor. Too much hazard carrying it up and down where you could slip/fall with it unless it has a cover. If those are cb radios, get a couple for the tractors with cabs provided terrain doesn’t cut reception to below a mile or two. Trucker cb’s are better voice quality than fr radios.

  4. You've got to kiss an angel good morning! If you're working together on the farm, hug her and help her learn and praise her for being good help and willing to learn. Kiss her every chance you get and see what happens! Just sayin!!

  5. You guys need to think about the future. From what I see you're not going to be able to run the farm when your husband can't. Your kids will be going to college soon. You're a nice family I just want you to be ready. I went through all this in my life.

  6. LB don't wanna have to show you how to use Rita again…🤣I'd love to have a raker that's as good as you!! He loves it too… I guarantee you that… Hope that hemp works out for yall… Looks a little green..

  7. That hay reminds me of the failed Johnson Grass experiment of 1964 that my Dad tried on the ranch. Hard to work with, the cows really did not like it. From then on it was coastal and alfalfa. Enjoying your videos & you need some gloves.
