I am 2 washes into my curly journey and so far my 2b hair is loving it. There is so much conflicting info out there, I had to choose who to listen to. I don't want to just do the curly thing, i want to understand it. So I have landed on your channel. Thank you
Courtney, your tip on how to use your fingers to pinch-test the hair to see if it's fully dry has saved me on quite a few occasions from scrunching out the crunch too early 👍 Also, I don't know if this is useful info or not, but in quite a few other English-speaking countries we use Autumn to describe this time of the year – maybe if you added that term to the hashtags etc for this video it might help it to be found by people looking for this type of helpful information. At any rate, this was a very interesting and informative video, thanks a million 😊
In all seriousness, I enjoy the Curlsmith treatment myself! However I use it like a post wash mask like I do all other "pre shampoo" treatments because it makes more sense to use them on clean hair. My hair has been in a claw clip all summer long and I have only styled it a handful of times.
Your hair looks great! I just watched the video where you cut your hair on zoom again. I would love to see you do that again! The shape was so amazing!! ❤
I find the Bond Salve works great but am wondering if using the clarifying shampoo afterwards removes some of its beneficial effects such as the protein?
I love the bonding oil but it discolours my silver hair.😔
Thanks for your info. I need to do a bond repair treatment. I've watched your routine many times. My question is regarding washing in the shower vs. the way you do it in a video, where there is no break for dressing, etc. Should I put all the layers of product on in the shower or wait until dressed, about 15 minutes later to add some of them, or what the best routine? Also, will you address a part? I have a cowlick and have to part my hair at least 1/2 way back. I have side-swooped bangs that I'm not sure what to do with. My waves are weakest in bang area and front sides. Also, I have minimal volume on the top, which I really need. Any ideas or suggestions for volume that lasts?
How do i know if i need a bond treatment? The last time I had a haircut she said my hair is healthy. I have fine, but thick 2b to 3a curls that i wash about once a week. I wash with a mild clarifying shampoo, followed by a curly shampoo, followed by curly conditioner. I get a decent look with Not Your Mothers curl creme.
❤ the Bond Treatment!! I color treat my hair, so I use this at least once a month. Also love playing with different CS cream and gel combos to see which holds my hair best. 😂
AHHHH, I am new to this curly girl journey and I feel like everytime I think have bought everything I need, there is more… a protein bonding cream? How do I know if I need one? And could I be clarifying too much ( every 2 weeks??) because I tend to still reach for my old faithful UN curly girl method approved hairspray… ooops. I need a CGM guru to run their fingers through my hair and just tell me what to do… anyone? anyone? Bueller?
Hi Courtney great video as always! Just a question, how do you decide to do a mask ( moisture or protein) after a detox/clarifying shampoo? Did you skip it because of the bond repair treatment or do you find it not necessary? 😊🌷
Accidentally i wash my hair too with my favorite shampoo and conditioner, and using curl cream and hard hold gel. but today i use less gel i regularly use to my hair, and i get less crunchy curls after diffusing but i like the results. P.S thanks for another video.
Can you do this routine with drugstore products?

Way too much product for my hair. But it works for you!
🩷
No idea what any of those words are, or the products.

I’d love for you to try the new Olaplex gel 😊

Just when I think I have every curl Smith product that I need you go and make another video and show me one that I need to have now! 😂
Thank you Courtney. My wavy hair has been in a claw clip all Summer. A solid re-set is definitely in order.
Thank you for talking about pree-pooing with oil 🎉. I’ve been meaning to try it since I shower frequently 🤓.
Oh I must try that Curlsmith bond treatment. Thank you, Courtney.
