Honestly significantly reducing calories, eating mostly protein and drinking plenty of water is a great way to quickly lose weight. Counting calories is the number one thing that a person should be doing to lose weight. That's my personal experience when it comes to losing weight.

Inulin ( also helps gut health) Soluble fiber. (Some get gas and bloating from it.) Minimum of 5 billion strength of probiotics .
Include lactobacilli and bifidobacteria. Use a variety, change what you use, different numbers of probiotics, and different manufacturers. Mix it up. It's good for the gut to get a variety.
Butyrate is food for the gut lining and helps brain, mood and weight control. Binds to vegas nerve, helps feel calmer.
Digestion, mitochondria, need certain things digested and absorbed. So digestive enzymes are helpful.
L-Glutamine helps the gut.
Tumeric Absorbable Curcumin Boswellia ( Indian Frankensense) Great for inflammation.
Omega 3, precursor for anti-inflammatory.
(We already get enough omega 6 in our diet; we need to ADD omega 3 by taking omega 3 supplements. )
Quercitin , apples onions garlic, reduce inflammation.
Magnesium reduces stress and helps with sleep and helps with insulin sensitivity, so you don't produce too much.
Berberine, helps gut microbiome. Use for 2-3 months, then take a break from it.
Bacopa Ayurvedic – calming. Lemon balm, chinese scullcap, valarian,
Kava kava tea, holy basil tea. All calming. Chamomile tea.
Green tea or Oolong tea. ( not recommending green tea supplements, just the tea, because too many green tea "supplements " can cause liver damage. So just use the tea, not pills.)
Melatonin – helps sleep. We need good sleep. Not getting enough sleep adds to weight gain. ❤ Start low, half a milligram or one milligram.
Things that lower stress and are calming also help to lower cortisol to better levels.
(We need some cortisol, but too much cortisol is unhealthy and inflammitory, it's a stress hormone, and also creates cravings especially at night.) .
