  1. Would have been nice to know before we lost our dog a few months ago. We were told it was called reverse sneezing. That the palit is too long and gets stuck the wrong way. The fits she would have a few times she went into panic. The stuff we would do was wait for her to take a breath and hold her nose, so she snorkled. It worked some times. Then patting her on the chest and a couple times i had to hold her upside down. If we caught it before she got bad, just sending her out to chase something usually stopped it. This makes more sense though as when ever we went for walks when she was younger she was always pulling so hard on her leash she made the goose noises. Our dog Bella was a puggle. She had a longer nose like a the beagle though. Miss her to bits. She nearly made it to 16.

  2. Could a tracheal collapse cause the heart to murmur please? I think my dog was misdiagnosed and given heart pills which made him very ill. I honestly think he would be still alive if he hadnt have gone to that vet.

  3. Really great info I just took all my animals to the vet and I have two Chihuahuas that have breathing respiratory issues and neither of them were checked for that. I believe my smallest Chihuahua probably does have that tracheal collapse issue because the vet did give her liver supplements when it was checked a couple years ago.

  4. Our family got a Jack Russell, Rat Terrier mix from flooding somewhere in TN 3 years ago. He was a puppy. Omg…the most loving dog ever, but Wowzer!! Die he have the energy!! But we handle him well with lots of exercise. Anyways, when playing, he will stop and start coughing? It stops, but it’s scary. And if he drinks water to fast it starts, but I get that. It’s really not bad, but I do worry when he starts.. we stop playing of course and he overcomes it. My worry? What if it doesn’t stop?

  5. So so timely thank you. Oh have been using your CDB Supplement. Seems to really help – my 16 year Cairn. Other benefits, more relaxed, rests better, more engaged, just over all more interested in sniffing and walking around. Obviously I love her to pieces.

  6. We are experiencing this now! I went to honey and coconut oil along with more wet food. Humidifier because dry air with the furnace on. I'm also a massage therapist of 20 plus years and so I have found 2 adhesions near her right chest, shoulder and her right back. Working with those are seeming to assist as well. I am pretty sure I am going to get certified in dog massage now!

Curcumin! Will use that now too thank you. I can't believe this video just come to us this morning 🙌🙌 i am beyond grateful for all you share doc!!! THANK YOU!!

  7. The vet said my boy had a collapsed tracia, I had him on medication.I watched so many of your videos and i have the upmost respect for you and all you do and share with us .However on a Friday night in April, my Best Friend Kenai started breathing strange ,I took him to the vet he had a xray and had a tumour up against his tracia ,worst day of my life .I did everything you recommend everything. I believe that the Flea and Tick solutions we give our pets is making them ill .
I cry everyday since I had to send Kenai over the rainbow bridge..
He was a Wired Haired Jack Russell and I had him since he was born .
Thankyou for everything you do 🙏 ❤

  8. It could be caused by yeast infection in ear and eyes! I think that’s how my dog got it,( well from a fungus in my grass, tried all the natural remedies but had to go to the vet, and I got ear infusion, eye drops and anti bacterial fungal infection biotics. They said the ex rays looked fine so they eliminated tracea collapse. It’s been a rabid hole from hell but I didn’t know that yeast infection in the ears could cause the system to go crazy.. you think the vets would teach people about that.

  9. Makes SO much sense!!! My dog started doing it AFTER he found a bunny nest. He started pulling his chain as tight as he possibly could…. He wanted those babies so bad. He never did, but man, the strange cough started not long after. 😢

  10. Can this happen with a cat, too? My cat coughs like this once in awhile randomly. He's only 4 yrs old. He's done this since he was a kitten and the vet doesn't know what it is. We've never figured out anything to do except not irritate his throat (with a collar, kisses, hugs, etc).

  11. My American Eskimo developed this about 2 years ago. The vet said he would be gone in about 1 month. We were heartbroken. We ordered all the homeopathic meds and CBD. He still gets the CBD. But soon after that appointment he was coughing and he sneezed and the coughing stopped. After that, I taught him to sneeze on command because sneezing stopped the cough. He still coughs sometimes but will sneeze and it stops. He’s 13 now and is playing again with our 3 year old dog chasing and tug of war. Happy dog and very happy doggy parents. Our Vet is amazed!

  12. I trained my Australian Labradoodle to use an easy walk harness with a front loop from the time he was 8 weeks old, in order to avoid any possibility of trachea damage due to
    collar pressure.

  13. Wonderful information, my 5 pd Chih mix has this intermittently, I will do as you suggest. When I rescued her I was told it was "backward sneezing" which didn't make any sense…NOW I UNDERStand!! Thank you.

  14. I have been suspecting this for a few years. I was referred to a specialist who scoped his throat. All they said was there was some inflammation and gave an antibiotic. He still as it. I thought of honey and put a little smear on a couple of small soft dog bones. Will try the other.
