Hey what's up gang! Enjoy the show! And heads up, the first half is all about his hip replacement. If you want to jump past that at any point, use the time stamps! 2:25 Evan’s Titanium Hip
The old school mindset was awesome and a blessing. I remember reading that Arnold got his calves by doing 1000 lb calf raises. So that’s what our goal was. And we reached it cause nobody said we couldn’t. I was 19 at the time and it took us a year and a half to meet that goal. What a great life lesson. Conceive, believe, achieve!
This may be one of my favorite episodes! I’ve listened to it probably 5 times through and it’s definitely a huge motivator before training. I remember watching Evan’s videos with animal when I first started getting into training 💪🏽💪🏽
Oh man what a phrase, I paused the show and said it back out loud to my self, “The wrongs in my method are better for you than the wrongs in yours.” I love that.
Red vein kratom is amazing for pain relief. All natural, acts on the opiate receptors and far less addictive. I quit taking it and had no side effects whatsoever.
Let me think wild a bit. When you inject gear(that is in most cases some type of seed oil high in inflammatory omega 6 fats) into your ass all the time that is close to your hip joint there has to be inflammation all the time… I am not saying that that was the main cause, but that could speed up the process.. Also I don't know what diet Evan was eating specifically, but I would get joint/spine pain every time I eat potatoes as my main source of carbs. They are loaded with oxalates and nightshade family vegetables in general are know causing all kinds of issues degeneration of joints as well.. Another foods very high in oxalates are almonds, spinach etc.. One time I was working in the kitchen for the summer and I would eat like 1000g of potatoes every day as my main source of carbs because I would get free meals so I picked potatoes with meat all the time.. After 2.5 months I ended up with some kind of flu and the main issue was joint pain. I was in the bed for like 5 days nad i couldn't move at all. All my joints and spine hurt so badly and after that my hip join was hurting like another 3 months. I was thinking oh my god I am 35yo and my hip is ready for replacement? Fortunately after some time eating low oxalate diet again so meats, rice etc. the pain was gone.. Also for bodybuilders is a problem that all of us are eating lean, clean muscle meats, egg whites, whey protein etc.. Which is great to build muscles, but what about another 30% of our body that is collagen tissue? Actually eating lean and clean muscle meats speeds up collagen breakdown due to lack of amino aids like glycine and hydroxyproline that are needed for collagen synthesis.. Interestingly I think Asian people are so mobile in old age because in their diet is hardly any muscle meats. THey eat the most colagenous cuts all the time in broths like chicken, pigs feet. It is like 95% collagen.. Anyways It is interesting that even with help of GH, nandrolone, peptides or whatever bodybuilders take and should help joints seems to have almost no effect and so many people end up with artificial joints it's crazy..
I live 3 hours from Diamond Gym. I'm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We got a gym here in Huntington Valley called Body Dynamics Fitness Center. The only old school gym around. I loved it there when nobody knew about it. In thus area people prefer commercial gyms like LA Fitness. During covid Body Dynamics stayed open. He blacked all the windows out. Police didn't care as they train there too. I stopped going there because this younger generation of kids took it over. I'm the same age as you guys and been Training just as long and I honestly can't stand this younger generation of people at the gym. Anyhow, my Diamond experience was amazing too. I was the only white guy there. You know most gyms I go to I'm the most jacked guy but when I went to Diamond I was the smallest guy. Great place to train if your serious about Training. They also don't allow cell phone usage. No tripods in that gym

Muscle factory is by far the best gym in AZ. I I was fortunate enough to see Dusty train right before he got to hurt.

Great Guy Evan is. He always speaks the truth. Awsome podcast, guys. 💪
That’s the greatest intro guys. Hyped up straight off the bat.
Can't say a bad word about Evan. Always been a fan
Was Evan drinking out of a plastic water bottle?!

Top 3 gyms
Strong and shapely -East Rutherford New Jersey
Samsons powerhouse -Rochester New York
All of these have a nice mix between old and new equipment
Was a great episode to listen to on the way to the gym. By the time I got there it was screw the plan…..time to just annihilate.
