I'm 49 and I wonder if I had been fortunate enough to have access to your wisdom when I was younger if I would have avoided the abuse and toxicity that I endured at the hands of men (2 ex-husbands and a long-term relationship that almost became a 3rd ex-husband due to him pressuring me for marriage and me almost falling for it). I am very grateful to you and I hope your message reaches as many women as possible and helps them avoid the unnecessary pain that so many women have dealt with for years due to the fairy-tale lie we've been sold about men and romance. I finally get it now and I am the happiest I've ever been knowing I'm free from the lie and free from men. It's been 2 years since my last and final relationship ended. It took me like a year to heal and you were a huge part of my healing. It's so strange because I'm such an introvert and I really love being by myself; the fairy-tell lie had me believing I would be missing something if I wasn't in a romantic relationship though. I was really programmed to believe romance was my path to happiness when it never was. Even if I had met a really great man, I'm not sure that being with that man would have been MY path to happiness because I really love being alone and having platonic relationships with friends and family. This year I'm finally pursuing my dreams full out and I feel so free and unlimited! I walk down the street these days and people (men and women) smile at me and tell me how beautiful I am. I think that happens because I am constantly smiling from the inside out. I love life so much now! Thank you for being a part of my transformation and beginning of my new life!
Hey! People don’t believe victims because 1- it would require them to do something or take some action to stop it. Second, in most cases, it would shake their belief system. For example, if Jake’s did do this , then there will be a lot of people who will have their faith shaken in religion and even God.
