  1. Around 12 years ago, when we got married, I switched us to a 90% organic diet, and since then we’ve had kids and that’s all they’ve been fed; we both felt better since doing so and getting all the glyphosates and crap out of our bodies has made, what I believe is, a huge difference. Now, this isn’t an affordable option for most people and some people think it’s a scam, but the research speaks for itself and we spend money on food and none at the doctors. We rarely ever get more than a cold and we all have very good health.
People that think carbs are the problem don’t seem to understand nutrition; carbs are necessary and are beneficial for the body. What kinds of food you buy determines how you feel, and it really is that simple. 🤷

  2. Seriously warning for your liver. Keto and paracetamol is a lot for your liver…like could be dangerous. Have you thought about seeing a holistic dr who can treat pathogenic bacteria. Perhaps your biome is out of whack ergo, none of the *diets will work. I know it's a lot, with a big, young family, but a holistic gut dr may be able to help.

  3. I enjoy all you share, I think you’re amazing! You own your lifestyle and I hope you are very proud of all you do!! To worry about those who criticize, is sad, and I hope you don’t allow them to waste your time!😊

  4. Nyssa, you're noticeably fresher and with some loss. Its hard to notice our own successes until its drastic, so im glad you're receiving such great support from followers.

Ive done all sorts wigh varied success, but recently stumbled on dr mindy pelz. Shes got loads of videos on YouTube and is very focussed on women's health. I don't want to confuse the pathway you're on, but it could have so much more relevance for you in terms of not only weight loss, but pain management and healing. It has some videos on sweeteners and things too which might be relevant for you.

I'd love to hear if its something you decide to check out and have a go. Maybe we can dm each other our own weight loss journeys for co-motivation xx

  5. I drink hydralyte. Chemist warehouse has them cheapest. Rheuee not delicious like cordial but definitely not yuck depending on flavour.

Orange is most common but i like the peach and the strawberry kiwi. The daughter likes the watermelon but i didn't. They do lemon lime but i havent tried it.

I too have been thinking your necklace looks quite a bit looser so i think you've definitely had changes too.

Darrell looks like he's doing really well on it!

I'm careful with carbs because my ibs hates them but i find for me living without is miserable so i have them but lightly (like lower calorie bread so i can have bread but its lower in carbs, and i do okay with orher carbs like potato and sweet potato and a little rice. I think for me wheat is the bigger issue. And I do have trouble with too much sugar but some is fine and it's cheap and I like it better.

Its also more affordable with how things are at the supermarket now!)

Its worth doing properly for a bit though like you are and go from there 😊

Came back to say bulk nutrients do a powdered electrolyte that google tells me is low carb and their flavours are nice.

  6. I hope you can find some natural solution to your pain. As someone who has one of those invisible diseases (I'm only mildly affected lately) that cause pain, I am in awe of what you do in a day.
For me, going off dairy and gluten is what helped my inflammation, I miss cheese on pizza etc so I'm hoping to find some raw milk to try in the hope its not the dairy that affects me, its what they do to it, and if I cant find raw milk I will try dairy from a goat or sheep. I've had cheese made from sheep milk and it was quite nice – just have to get over my psychological aversion to anything other than cows milk
Your husband is looking great, thats men though, last year my husband and I went on a strict diet for health reasons, and he lost weight, I stayed the same, so thats that 🙃

  7. I think as women we have a lot of other factors to consider/deal with as well which is why men always have dramatic results and we dont. She Is Of The Woods (April) is a fantastic herbalist on youtube, she has 2 recipes for homemade electrolytes that might be of interest to you.

  8. I freeze heavy cream (actually all milk products) because i don't use enough before it goes off. I have found freezing in cubes or silicone molds makes it so much easier. Once frozen I pop them into freezer bags. It takes up less space and gives me single serve options without having to worry about separation issues

  9. You can get the Keto Chow or Trace liquid electrolytes and add them to your coffee. They are much cheaper and but are unflavored. If you choose to use the flavored drops you may want to check for maltodextrin and what artificial sugars are being used. It will spike your bloodsugar and pull you out of ketosis if you have too much depending on the sugar.

I know you said that you get bored with food, but you may need to go on a much sticter diet to begin to get healing results you are looking for. Then add back in foods one at a time as you feel better. Maybe something like the lion diet to see if you can use diet to get a change (If you don't get a change on the lion diet then it is the meat that is the issue). One other thing to note that when you are using food to heal I have found that it can take time to see/feel the healing.

  10. I did regular old keto – found that wasn't quite as difficult to set -up for, and I kept things as simple as possible ! 😛 it's also good to keep in mind that whilst veg DOES have carbs, it also has a LOT of fibre which of course, is not absorbed by the body – so when calculating the carb counts for the day, we get to deduct the fibre grams from the carbs, and that makes a REAL difference ! Stick to greens mostly though for lower carbs overall – I always have a full cup of veg with my main meal, mostly the cauli/brocc mix (frozen cos I live alone so easier) and found that 1/2 an avocado with maybe a piece of feta cheese would do me for lunch ! I basically only needed 2 small meals a day once I got settled in…oh and keto coffee (yes butter and coffee) whizzed in the blender was breakfast – sometimes drop an egg in WHILE it's whizzing, so it doesn't end up as scrambled egg in there 😛 oh and another thing, if you normally get almond flour from the health food aisle, go check with the nuts section that's near the baking section – there's usually some there too and often WAY cheaper ! Same can happen with coconut oil ! I always ignore the health aisle and head for the cooking oils section for my pure unrefined coconut oil 😛

  11. Very interesting Nyssa. I tried Keto but failed miserably. It wasn't for me. I'm like you. Since I had my daughter 21 years ago my weight has stayed the same, not gained, not lost. I avoid the scales because I have massive hormonal fluctuations plus I have uterine fibroids which make me look pregnant. You do look different though on screen so I think whatever you are doing is working. Thanks for sharing your journey and updating us.

  12. Musashi and lokako keto have electrolyte drinks, some low carbon options. Around $27, I don't know what they taste like though. Have you looked at the All day I dream about Food website? She has heaps of keto baking recipes.

  13. Hey Nyssa. Sorry you aren’t feeling the efforts of your diet changes. I’m sure there must be changes in your blood pressure at least. I have not found anything to help with my inflammation either. I have lost 55 lbs since cancer surgery but that is definitely not the way to lose it. Every once in a while I need a sugar snack so I do. Enjoy your Christmas snacks and see where it goes. Sending love to you and your family ❤

  14. I have been keto/ mostly carnivore for over 10 years. I did it for health reasons ( type 2 diabetic) I ended up changing my life and have maintained my health and weight loss for over 10 yrs. Making foods you used to eat and trying to make them work is a mistake. This is how I eat and I don’t try and make those treats although I tried in the beginning 😂 A great treat is Mascarpone cheese and you can add any sugar free syrup or straight coco powder. After many years I have so many hacks and I don’t do anything crazy intense . I do a lot of casseroles with meat and cheese / ricotta. Also you can do deli meat cheese roll ups but fry them -same with thin sliced steak and heat up in gravy. The keto channels will make you crazy😂 keep it simple 😘 my partner has multiple auto immune disease and when he eats more carnivore – keto he starts to feel better and the inflammation starts to go down try and give it some time to see if it helps 🙂 I use key nutrients for electrolytes ✅

  15. I think your face looks thinner and I noticed your clothes looking looser. So you may be loosing inches but not pounds. I always loose inches before the pounds began to come off. I would have to buy new pants bc mine were falling down, but the scale hadn’t budged. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to notice a change for us girls. Yet the men folk drop 6000 pounds just by not drinking soda. My husband kills me with that magic. lol

  16. Costco in Tennessee USA has LiquidIV which is what they give in the Hospital here for electrolyte. I’m not sure about the taste or cost but it might be something you might want to look into.
