Lecithin had nothing to do with lower thc results in that contest from high times your referring to. There was high levels of thca in the results meaning there wasn’t a proper decarb. Increased bioavailability does not equal increased potency.
hello, I'm having a hard time finding lecithin in the grocery stores. i plan on making gummies is there a substitute i can use like corn starch or honey?
So when making thc infused mct oil for capsules lecithin is unnecessary? Haven’t made them before and am very interested. Absolutely awesome information by the way!
I notice my edibles come out better without the lecithin. Only thing I like about the lecithin is my butter is all one color & no darker gritty color stuff at the bottom.
Lecithin has to be added at the right time and temperature, and right step in the process. Non chemist types might find making edibles without lecithin easier. Making cannabutter with lecithin is very stupid.
What you need to unsterstand is that the body destroys 80 to 95 percent of THC before it enters the bloodstream. The remaining THC is converted by the liver into 11 hydroxy tetrahydracannabinol. Lecithin does not increrease the "potency" because "potency" is measured by milligrams of THC. Lecithin does increase the amount of 11 hydroxy tetrahydracannabinol that makes it into the blood steam, meaning it is more effective. Science actually backs me up on that one, and blood tests confirm it.
This is false you don't need it I have never put that in my weed I take that back maybe once or twice but I really don't see a difference in the potency or the fact that is supposed to hear better if you sunflower lutein I will not use soy and I will not use an animal product so it's sunflower or nothing. Anyway you don't need it I've never used it and Edibles is my choice of way to take weed I don't want to eat brownies everyday so I enjoyed making homemade popcorn and putting weed butter over my popcorn I love it it is amazing for a bedtime snack so I am not using microwave popcorn I have a special popcorn maker that I do we use to cook in the microwave but it is not have the chemicals of all those bag popcorns that are disgusting and I can use vegan butter instead of all that Dairy.
I've only ever used lecithin in gummies to bind the fat to the water in the gummies so they don't separate. I've made plenty of other recipes without it.
My question is not do i need it to make it. But rather can i use it to not having fats separate when I'm infusing the the cannabis into the butter? Often when i have it in my double boiler there's this white stuff that starts to form. I think that is fat thats separating off the butter. I think using an emulsifier such as lecithin i can prevent that from happening. And the reason i wanna prevent that is cz is kinda nasty when your butter solidifies that stays on it and is like a nasty goop. I can't help but to think that. those solids being fat they must have thc in them so i dont want to lose that. Btw i dont do butter and water together.. you'd be stupid if you have the water mixed in with the butter and use lecithin.
I really appreciate this video. Maybe somebody knows why this is but when I buy edibles I typically get about half the effects you would expect from the dose. When I make them myself (no lecithin,) they are twice as strong and 1000% better medicine anybody know what’s in the crap edibles?
It's an anti- phospho,,,,,,, I have Anti-phospholipid-syndrome- lupus anticoagulant , I also use edibles every day made with that stuff. I'm going to have to look into this now!!!
Hello I accidentally placed my undecarboxylated cannabis in my magic butter machine, then sprinkled my sunflower lecithin on top of cannabis did I ruin the flower…??? Please help!!!
Hi Cheri, I went to that link you put out for the sunflower lecithin, but after I read the comments they were not good comments on the two top power lecithins. So could you please tell me which sunflower lecithin to buy that you had good success with. Thanks
Lecithin breaks things down on a molecular level and binds at a more even rate. Do some research on the science involved. Its the new "nano technology" all the edible companies are raving about.
would it benefit in making tea if you dont want to use butter or oils?
well said!
would lecithin help when making infused beverages.
Hi Sherry new to the group here I was wanting to know if you can use the soft gel capsules of the lecithin in your Edibles with using the coconut oil

To use it,
Or not to use it.
That is the question
YNAS🎉
I can't get the sound to work on any of Cheri's videos. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?
Another great video! You confirmed what I already though. Thanks!
I was also so confused about this and stressing out. Thank you so much!
Just what I needed..not what I didnt…thank you…im off to cook
What about rice crispy treats? Yay or nay?

These statements are wrong, your spreading misinformation. Look into what emulsifiers even are before you speak lmao. Noobs

Finally a straight answer thank you.
Clear and concise I like it

420th like ❤️
Thank you for your knowledge. As a professional cook and edible connesseuir it's nice having my suspicions and practice validated lol

Thank you!!
Why am I so sensitive to cannibis? I can eat 1 piece and feel it in 2 minutes. Thanks for video

Great cannabutter experiment link ?

Extremely well presented!!
So would you suggest the powder or liquid for gummy’s
It's an anti- phospho,,,,,,, I have Anti-phospholipid-syndrome- lupus anticoagulant , I also use edibles every day made with that stuff. I'm going to have to look into this now!!!
You want lecithin in your cannabutter or oil because your body is 80%+ water. Its going to help the thc pass the blood brain barrier.
Hello I accidentally placed my undecarboxylated cannabis in my magic butter machine, then sprinkled my sunflower lecithin on top of cannabis did I ruin the flower…??? Please help!!!
So when I'm making cannabutter I don't need to add lecithin?
Finally a video that Perfectly explains that thank you

Thank you for finally explaining this issue so well I was very confused
Hi, looking for the link u mentioned
At what ratio do you substitute powder with liquid , please. TIA.
Thanks for that info. Chasing my tail was never fun.
