I'm not a veteran but suffer from imense ptsd after some freak surgery accidents. Weed was the firt substance that got me once out of my scary ass head.
I didn't really think I had PTSD when I got out the service until I realized I couldn't be around people too much and I was sensitive to loud noises and movements. My mind starts spinning and I can't think straight. Being alone and marijuana has really helped me calm down and accept life. I chill alone, read, maybe take a walk and smoke to help calm myself down. Make life simple fellow vets.
It's difficult to have empathy for a modern vet tbh. What I mean: my immediate reaction is to how tragic this is, but then I remember the early 2000s and how hype alot of these dudes were to fight the war on "terror" and massacre whole groups of people. Even when they're talking about the trauma of it all. They still paint themselves as victims. I'm the same age as these dudes, and Iraq/Afghanistan wasn't no Vietnam. Nobody forced them to go into that. They went there to commit murder for bullshit and lies. And yeah, mistakes and all that, but this is almost like asking empathy for former N@żis. Notice who they show here, and who they want us to emphasize with. Do these men even have remorse for what they've done or do they just have regret because their own suffering? I hope they find peace, but I hope they also realize they choose to go to war for US empire and who is to blame. I have friends who have realize this. It's important. It's also a part of the healing.
The crazy part is. The government used to study cannabis in the early 1900s. What they found is crazy, and what they kept from the people is wrong. Big farma is who to blame for shutting down cannabis studys only to keep them getting rich
Pills dont work, i tried taking my life because my ex stole everything from me and gave me the pills to do it then told me to kill myself i did then he called the cops on me to make me look unstable but when youve been abused and forced abortion at 3months and taken everything from me labor trafficking and romeo pimp
I had to ask my self as a parent, do I want my dauther in a room full her friends smoking weed or drinking alcohol? my answer was the Weed House would have the Least Violence. lol
Im a UK veteran, served 15yrs got medically discharged, doctor pumped me full of crap for 9 years cant remember 5 of them, lost my marriage my home access to my daughter, now on medical cannabis in the uk and its an absolute game changer
When you want to be a pill chaser this is what happens. The VA did it to my daddy amd he shot himself. He had no desire, like most these men, to do better and get well. They wanna numb and VA allows it. Both parties are wrong
Funny story. Just a couple days ago I walked passed an Army personnel in complete digital camouflage uniform. I told him marijuana would help with the PTSD he responded with a laugh and said "yeah he knows".
I suffer from PTSD not from the military. I was abused when I was very young. That's why I suffer from PTSD. God marijuana is a blessing. I have several other diagnosis in physical conditions as well and cannabis has helped me function and hold down a long term full-time job. I could NOT work the way I physically work if I didn't use marijuana. That's the key word "use" I don't abuse it. I might smoke 1.5-2 grams a day. Just enough to ease my symptoms.
What I'm understanding here is that moana doesn't have the same effect on us as people with PTSD and shell shock because there is a difference in the air chemical structure in the Brain which dust that when they take medical marijuana they get that chemical balance back for a while and maybe a bit over corrected but weigh more normal then not so basically they're feeling the relief of taking the weight of the shoulder literally like you were doing a squat and then when you take the weight off you feel light for a while giving you a Break to be able to take the weight again later at this time you can take the weight for a bit longer
Buddha brain still works like anybody Else so if they try to just up the Dose they will build up tolerance and increase the chance of a dependency that can turn to addiction if the increase the those too much for extended periods of Time
Basically I'm saying the still normal human beings and the chemistry still works just with some simple m balance in a very very complicated system which of course makes all the numbers and everything complicated
Essentially it's making them more normal and Us over correcting but over correcting Calvin still be used as a tool like anything the tool can be used wrong but for different people using at wrong looks different
It is important to know shell shock and PTSD is not necessary the same at all
Studies have shown that when explosions happen close to you the vibrations of the air over you know as the boom is so powerful that it can create brain damage "shellshock" which have very very similar effects as PTSD but very a alot More
PTSD is only the psychological but alot have a cocktail of the 2😢
It's unfortunate and sad. We turn our backs on our people after we've broken them. It digusts me to see politicians wrap themselves in the flag yet do literally nothing for our vets.
I don't believe opioids and pills are a treatment to PTSD, quite the contrary they kill you off slowly, so you are "treated" at the cost of your life. Weed is a much better alternative, simply because you can consume it in any way you can possibly think off, you can smoke it if you're a smoker, eat an edible if you're a non-smoker (just be careful, edibles kick differently), you can vaporize it, and there hasn't been a single documented case of weed killing you, or weed induced psychosis (whoever says it causes it, It does not. A study showed that between 2000 to 2012, THC levels increased in marijuana, while schizophrenia (a type of psychosis) remained the same, It does not cause it for those who are at risk for it, It simply speeds up the development of the problem), my point is, I'm all in favor of veterans who suffer from PTSD to consume weed.
Cannabis is saving some veterans lives. they are living with thier choice of medicine being an illegal crime, when For using thier best choice of cannabis as the medicine that they chose to help in thier suffering of thier long term healing from war, with some grace from others..blessings…m24

PTSD is what weed helped me most with

I am a veteran and I approve this message. Unfortunately I cope this way as well.

Coming home from war with ptsd just to loose your family is wild
WEED SAVES LIVES
George Carlin was right when he said if we still called PTSD SHELL SHOCK the veterans would be getting all the help they really need.

I just went through a podcast on psilocybin mushrooms as an addiction treatment. Has anyone tried it?
