I hear this all the time about weed… Anybody can grow pot… It's not about the plant itself. Cannabis is a commodity like any farm produce. It's the CBD and THC it produces. Licensed Brands created with these additives is what creates a moat. Anybody can distill alcohol too but it's regulated by the government and licensed brands dominate the field. One certain company has ties to Molson, Budweiser and Altria. I'll leave it at that

When it comes to cannabis and taxes the greed level of most governments is shameful. Through egregious taxes the governments are enabling the illicit markets and they really don't care about cannabis jobs, economy or development as long as they get their taxes..Governments have the mindset of extortionist and act like monetary sadist when it comes to weed.
David Klein you should be ashamed of yourself for what you and CGC have done to acreage investors. You should have done a 1-1 for those investors. We need to do better.
Goodness me! the industry did not exist 6 years ago! They have 60-70% of it now and they are complaining? Let’s compare apples to apples. Canada pays for the healthcare of the employees of these companies. a CPG corp gross margins are avg 26% Excise tax 100 million, 4 million making enough to pay income tax. The income tax august 40% 60-70% of an industry that was 0% in 2018. I would say the Canadian government has given us a gift of enormous proportions. Cannabis is a commodity. Should be sold by the bushel not the ounce. The illicit market has dropped off by 70% It looks to me folks entered this with unreasonable expectations. They are still much farther ahead here than they are anywhere in the world. I am glad they are starting to work together. With 1 voice advocate for farmgate, canna tourism, excise, stamps, to be treated like wine. The govt said they would make incremental change and that is what they have done. The job losses are from economies of scale normal in emerging industries. Trudeau will get my vote every time he stands for election in gratitude for freeing the plant for the world.

Why would you not list all of the major markets the companies are involved in not just the NASDAQ
