retrofitted trains have one distinct disadvantage as seen in the last part where you were alone in the entire compartment. it is due to a small section being used for the retrofitting due to which the 3-door motor coach is split into two non-connected separate compartments. it causes issues when the passenger no is high as all have to enter and exit through a single door for both compartments. Belapur Uran section currently has low passenger traffic so such trains are used here while they still have some years of service left in them. same type of retrofitted EMU trains used to run on Pune Lonavala section ( i last saw it 5-6years ago, before covid so now, no idea if they still exist) but there they had made a small corridor connecting the two compartments
