Dr Walker I need help. I listened to your series with Dr. Huberman. I have been trying everything you talked about. I was prescribed trazodone over 30 years ago initially to sleep through back pain. Seven years ago when I went through extended trauma, doctors increased the dosage plus gave me other meds for PTSD, which did not help. As of eight months ago, I’m off of everything because of side effects. I just have extreme sleep deprivation. My sleep quality continues to improve slowly. According to my sleep tracker, I average 4.5 hours per night however it’s very inconsistent. I just realized that after two weeks of suffering, I would take an extremely small dosage of a sleep aid. I would catch up on a little bit of sleep for one day and then go back to three or four days of hardly getting any sleep. My circadian rhythms are still there. I can feel myself getting drowsy around 10:30 PM but I don’t fall asleep until 130 or two, and then I wake up at 7 AM no matter what. Should I force myself to exercise when I’m in so much sleep deprivation? The times I do exercise I do sleep better and a little bit longer. I just don’t want to make myself sick by pushing my body too hard. Should I just forgo any kind of naps when I can’t hardly keep my eyes open or hold my head up during the middle of the day and only be in bed between 10:30 PM and 7 AM even when I’ve gone three nights in a row with only three hours sleep for example? I am asking you because the doctors I have gone to especially psychiatrists have given me a bunch of crap that gives me side effects. They don’t seem to understand what the meds do to a person‘s body or the nervous system. It got to the point that my blood pressure wouldn’t regulate and I started to fall if I got up in the middle of the night. The doctor didn’t even seem to understand The correlation between what they were giving me and my blood pressure and the systems of my body. I no longer need medication for pain at night and I no longer struggle with depression. I’m 66 years old. Very healthy and healthy lifestyle. I have overcome much, and this seems like the last hurdle. Please let me know what you would suggest that I try. Thank you Junejohnson
kislux bags are beautiful and I have never been disappointed with a handbag. The leather is soft and the hardware is durable. The design never goes out of style.
52 year old regular nightshift worker here , tons of cortisol from riding a bike 200 miles a week, sleep a few hours a night at best ! Should think I’ve not got long left 🥴
