What I don't get is, they make it 'medically legal', then make it stupid easy with zero proof of any sort of medical documents required. Now, those of us who choose to use cannabis LEGALLY and go about their silly process to get the plastic card, are treated like felons and can't touch a gun? Hmmm so now they've incentivized NOT getting a medical card – in order to retain gun rights. BUT THEN.. if you're doing all the weed stuff correct proper and legal, it's supposed to be 'consumed at home' or whatever, so being high anywhere else means you're breaking laws anyways! Smoking in public; driving while high, etc., whatever. SO, if I'm a medical user, and I'm only consuming it in the privacy of my home, IE.. I'm only high when I'm at home… why can't I concealed carry outside of my home, SOBER to protect myself out there? It's mf'n scary out there! and I'm more trained with a firearm than any ol' joe shmoe walkin around with a hipoint shoved in his pocket.
How do you address the fact that millions of people own guns and use marijuana on a daily basis. Is there enough room in the jails to house all these people. Its obvious this issue is true and occurs everyday of the year. How can there be a law against so many people for what ever reason they get high that you are a felon now and have been for many years? Doesn't make a lick of sense.
To me is alot of bs because what about drinking they should treat same as majurana just don't drink while you carry gun and don't smoke while carry gun frist get sober it's common sense
Actually in Florida it is completely legal to have your concealed carry permit and medical cannabis license at the same time. We were not prohibited from having gone only from purchasing new ones.. But now the new case that just came out says that it is unconstitutional to not allow medical cannabis patient to have guns
Not MM user myself however I find it completely asinine that marijuana is even listed on applications. I'm more worried about people on SSRI medications and pain killers than I'd ever be concerning a pot head.
As chronic pain sufferer I could in my State get the MM card and supposedly keep my CCW but have not because of the 4470 I could've gotten a gun still thru private transfer ir gift but because I also live in a Communist State ( which just passed a Unconstitutional AWB) they also had passed a private background check requirement a year or so ago so would never be able to purchase a new gun again, so instead I stay on prescription options and am allowed to keep my God given and Constitional rights to own and purchase a gun. Go figure that out 1 comes from the Earth and has been safe for thousands of years and the other man-made with no long term knowledge of consequences of taking it( yet we know the problems with actual opiods like heroin and still act like its ok because its all about that $$$$$ because you could grow your own pain relief)
I mean it's not bad, they let alcoholics own guns… I'd say it's safer for pot heads to own guns than alcoholics.. Not that I condone shooting while under the influence of ANY substance, but if I had to to choose, I'd pick the weed, because you still have control over yourself…. And that b.s. on the 4473 is a misnomer, because in my experience, weed is not an addictive substance.

Its my feeling this is a political maneuver to gain favor with Democratic constituents. No Democrat will vote for this and then Republicans can use this to gain political points and Votes. We will see just my current thoughts on this topic.

only reason I'm not giving this a like is because it's at 420 now, anyone that makes it go above 420 is a class a DB!
