I understand the fright of a seizure. My dog who passed this year on Valentine's Day. She had seizures. She had epalpacy. She lived to be 3 years old. But passed from getting an eye infection. She went blind within 2 weeks of getting medication. Then she got a fever which got high. It fried her brain to where she was kept in Seizure mode
I am currently crying because my little dog for 15 years. First time at 11pm had his first seizure and now he just keeps turning left in circles and shakes, unable to stand up. Keeps having foaming mouth. Vets clinic is closed until 10am. I am awake next to him just rubbing his back. While keeps looking at me.
Is a long night that feels forever just having memories with him. That clock feels doesn't change at all. 😢
Update: 2/8/2024, Arrived and my dog was so weak. They gave him a bunch of vitamins and blood results avail the next day. As soon we arrived home we lay him down, gave a few gasps, and died. I just went to bury my buddy. I will miss him hearing his barks arriving home.
A bit late to the punch on this, but my childhood dog had seizures starting sometime in 2018 and most likely had developed some sort of brain issue from how poorly my dad treated him. I loved that little dog and I am so glad he was around for 17 years, nearly into my adult life which is insane to think about. He was put to sleep in April of 2021, still rips my guts out having to sign the paperwork.
I struggle with this with baby! So heart breaking, my nerves go to pieces, If I have to leave her alone which is very rare my husband keeps her, medicine is helping her but not 💯
My furbaby had seizures and the meds stopped them. Sadly, it was because of a brain tumor and he declined very fast. He became an angel last month. I miss him like crazy.
My German Shepherd started having them around 1 & 1/2 years old. We did everything we could to try and control them. Meds seemed to help for a bit, but ultimately I had to put him down. He had 50 seizures within 5 months. The last one left him unable to walk or stand up. He would’ve been 2 the following month that I put him down. I miss him greatly. I love you Chase. 💙
My Golden Retriever when he turn one year he got his first seizure he have it for 10 years until i got a cbd oil from a friend called zen friend His seizures stopped when i used it for 4 uears no seizures He just dies from vertigo he could not walk Almost 14 years he has very bad hips and authorities he could not do his business and he was on Adequan shots and many joint
I just lost my 2 yrs old dog today..at first he has suffered from vestibular disease yesterday n today morning is was worse and had a seizure every fell minute..i took him to the vet and doctor gave injection n i brought it back to the home but it seizure became worse n after few hours he pass away in front of my eyes..it was so painful to watch him die..i am still in pain for my little dog i love him soo much..he was only 2 years old
my sister's dog experienced seizures like this. we usually covered him with a wet towel to keep his temperture down. it was truly scary when he'd have a seizure.
Omg she put her face right by the dog's face as she came out of seizure. My previous dog had a grand mall and backed into a corner growling, baring teeth just like Cujo. I'd recommend staying far from the teeth and claws of a dog in and coming out of seizures they don't know what they're doing.
Same with my furbaby 😢 he had seizure since he was 4 years old and can't diagnosed the cause.. sending ❤❤❤

They can treat epilepsy in dogs with medication and they a normal life . We get so attached to our four legged furry family

i am epileptic. yet since its happening in the am for him . i would have expected sugar . mines calcium related:( poor bear
So was epilepsy the final diagnosis? You never said. What medications were given?

My husband has grand mal seizures which are now under control. Many times I have stayed with him through a session. It's frightening to see.
