  1. My grandmas dog, I lived with my grandma at the time while our house was being built and I was playing in the computer room at the computer and I was only 8. It was only me and my brother that was home that day and my grandmas dog (Sophie) was sitting behind my hair. I heard her kind of like making little noises and so I turned around and she was shaking really bad. I immediately tried helping her then I took her to my brother. We got her to stop but we were completely clueless to was it was cause we were both young. We told our parents and grandparents what happened when they came home and they took her to the vet and she has to take seizure medication daily. It would’ve been super helpful to know this information when I was a kid

  2. Having a seizure myself over 25 years ago, I grab him and gave a huge hug for less than 10 minutes. When Lefty started looking at me, I let go. He walked away to another and I knew he was fine. Marked down the date.

  3. hello sir im from india my puppy 2months old had a seizure for 1 minute and before seizure he will bark loudly and show aggressiveness and after it seizure will come twice after hour please help me 😢

  4. My dog (the one in my pfp) had a seizure today not too long ago. She’s about 9 years old and she’s a toy poodle. She’s a small dog. Whenever the seizure happened, I for sure thought that she would die and that all hope was lost. But thankfully, she ended up being ok and the seizure ended quickly. If this ever happens to your dog, stay calm and do what this guy does. Applying the cold cloth on your dog really helps. If the seizure lasts 5 minutes or longer, take them to the vet right away! But don’t worry, your dog will most likely be ok. Stay safe guys!

  5. If the dog has several seizers, more then 1, pour water and wet him quickly to cool down body temperature. That will stop the seizures and cool his body down
. If it get over 41C degree body temps, the dog will die.
Seizures often happen in case of poisoning, allow him to vomit 🤮 and wet him immediately.
also pour water in his mouth, so that he vomits it.
If the poison is on his fur, like he has run in a field treated with herbicides or insecticides, wash his fur in the shower with soap.
The operation should stop the seizers and save the dog.
Repited seizers and over 41 C. body temperare Will brain damage the dog.so act quickly.
There is no time to take him to the vet, the procedure should work if acted on quickly.

  6. My dog has been on Epiphen for 2 years to control the seizures but unfortunately this has worn off and the seizures have returned. I have kept a journal on her seizures so have a full record of her progress. I have discovered a fantastic natural remedy that has no nasty side effects and supports GABA. I have recently given her this supplement and done a 5 minute vlog on YouTube with the results (Help for dogs with epilepsy) on my channel (Just Kidding). I have done weekly updates and am happy to say we haven't had 1 seizure to date and this is whilst I have started reducing her intake of Epiphen. If you could have a look and give me feedback I would live it. It has also increased my dogs alertness and her cognitive support has increased.

  7. Can you please say something about canine syncope? I thought my dog was having epilepsy, but he never lost consciousness, no excessive drooling either. He just falls over arches his back and lets out a horrible cry. He then has mild tremors for 15-20 seconds and is back to normal

  8. My Dog just started having a seizure tonight took her to an emergency veteran I hope she'll be okay with the medicine she has I hope she doesn't have another 😭

  9. Thank you so much for your reels. I have a question. My dog , Cocker Spaniel 10 years, started having epilepsy last week. About 20 seconds. Since then 2 more and they lasted about 5-10 seconds. The last one 30 minutes ago. It is in the evening now and dont want to give her stress by going to the emergency. She is sleeping now.

What can cause epilepsy? Can it be her age? She eats en drinks very well. But she is uncertain now…

Greetings from a worried owner out of the Netherlands.

  10. Missing some major points here yet again…
Don’t wait until 5 minutes to call your vet, call them immediately. Turn off all lighting and anything creating noise as your pet will be hypersensitive to it during and after the seizure. Recording the seizure can help your vet, so do this if possible

  11. Thank you, I have found this extremely helpful. My Flynn is a 13 year old
Border Collie x Kelpie and he had his first seizure a month ago but I thought he was choking, we were panicking and doing all the wrong things. He had another one yesterday and pretty much the same reaction but I did hold him this time, we took him to the vet and they suspect epilepsy so we are awaiting other results to confirm. I now am in the process of baby proofing my house and yard and educating myself.

  12. I NEED HELP WITH MY DOG HAVING SEIZURES! I have a vet which is ok, but I need guestions answer that has personal experience with this , if someone is out there I have questions please reach out
    Thanks

  13. I'm a genX who grew up with dogs, we always had 3-4 in the house. There were many stray mixed race dogs in my city I interacted with a lot. I've never seen a dog having a seizure. Not sure if its pure chance or that dogs suffer more from this than when I was a kid in the 70's/80's

  14. My little chihuahua that was 18 years old started having seizures and it always upset me but I’d try to remain calm. It’s hard to watch. He was put to sleep about 6 months later- so terribly sad and I miss him so much. My heart is broken.

  15. I had a German Shepard who was my LE k9 parter. I had a heart attack w some bad consequences-had to medically retire 😢. So of course my K9 was retired With w me She NEVER had her eyes off me-we were like conjoined twins. We were in my bed chillin w a movie on. I was sitting up Indian style. The 1st seizure 😢came-guess she knew something was wrong, jumped in my lap not usual for her wasn’t violent) 2 mins max-she was completely normal afterI was like if she’s down I’m gonna be with her. Then my dog who was a police dog/we also did Search & rescue. On Dec..13th totally unexpected happened , I was outside put last of yard decor, came back in couldn’t find her anywhere😮 ran around house calling her/checked backyard-nothing. I was going thru house like a crazy woman & found her in wash room she had never gone in there before -. I grabbed her dog bed to at least put her head on-grabbed me a pillow-wasn’t gone 30 secs-as I returned she had taken her last breath. It was one of the hardest days of my life.No I didn’t take her to the vet after seizures as their was no defect and they were few & long between. I knew going to vet would be MRIs or catscans , s a m sabloodwork & every test they could do-knew the bill would be outrageous. She probably had about 8 seizures over her 12 1/2 years. Unfortunately she passed in December. Was so weird, had not been sick, was perfectly normal ate her breakfast that day-went outside to potty.,I was outside finishing yard decorations- when I came in like an hour later she was nowhere to be found. I’m going nuts looking & calling her name; nothing. Finally something caught my eye-she was in the wash room, on could tile (she had never taken a step in the washroom before) but the rest were just like the first! Had she had defects afterward, or had them repeatedly DEFIANTLY rushed her to animal hospital! I wish I had thought of the cold packs-I was monitoring everything including here temp….probably had 5-6 seizures in her 12 1/2 years. Thanks for the videos you put out! Love them.

  16. Lost my last dog after he had multiple in one day.. Then got a new one shortly after and after 4 years of having the new one he's started having them out of nowhere…Just had 2 in one day.. Didn't think i'd have to go through these again

  17. My dog has partial seizures, she had 1 in may,3 in aug. Im sept she had 2 within 24hrs,then another the next day and 2 and hour apart yesterday. My vet said its up to me whether she goes on Phenobarbital or not,as she can never come off of the meds as her seizures will worsen. Im conflicted whether to give her meds or not?

  18. GARLIC JUICE! Also milk (or water) with garlic infused into it! Use a dropper. Just a small amount of garlic juice will cure the seizure ASAP. 1tsp of garlic juice at a time or a dropper of garlic milk or garlic water at a time. Works Within seconds depending on severity of the seizure and the strength of the garlic solution or juice. That’s why I recommend the straight juice and you can keep a jar from the store in the fridge.

  19. I have a 15 month old Indian Spitz. He vomits a lot after his seizures and acts aggressively. If anyone goes near him after a while, he bites them. How should I calm him down?

  20. this is happening to my dog every month or so and When I give her subcuataneous fluid it keeps her from having another one. I've been researching trying to figure out what is in that fluid that helps her and it's those electrolytes which as far as I can tell are closest to what is in bone broth. I have been giving her bone broth with her raw premade chicken patty along with some herbs but then she had a seizure this morning. I hadn't done the fluid for at least a month.. Do you have any thoughts on this? Thank you

  21. What are the different stages of a seizure? My dog starts off with a focal seizure(mouth fit), along with stiffening, trembling, and urinating on himself. Finally a deep sleep until he comes out of it. This could last anywhere from 2 to 6 minutes for me. Would that be how long his seizure is? Six minutes?

  22. If my dog had a seizure longer than 5 mins I’m already gonna have to say my goodbyes cuz my parents won’t take him to the vet even though it’s 5 minutes away. They’ll kill him in purpose
