  1. I was worried about this study- my dna says im a higher risk for cardiovascular problems.
I do intermittent fasting but not fixed. Thank you for debunking this. I also agree that cereal manufacturers generally are probably losing out. No one in my family eats cereal anymore,

  2. Hello Liz, I have just listened to a show on radio 4 today (9th April 2024) called Inside Health. The discussion today was whether intermittent fasting is good for us. You might like to have a listen to it x

  3. I actually haven't seen it and I tend not to react to stories like those anyway as I think it's just sensationalism.

I do the 16:8 usually five days out of seven each week. When I first started doing it at the beginning of last year, I did it religiously seven days a week, however unlike so many other people, I actually didn't find it particularly beneficial. I didn't lose any weight, I didn't feel any different etc. etc. The other reason is that when I do eat breakfast, it is generally berries (usually blueberries) and Greek yoghurt or maybe some oat bran made into porridge with milk and then I add my berries, seeds, protein powder and some kefir. I find when I don't eat breakfast, I don't get the benefit of all these good things. I literally just eat lunch and dinner as I'm not really one for snacking.

  4. I was waiting for your take on this. It seemed utterly ridiculous because everything else I have read and learnt from you said the opposite. Thank you again for putting the facts right. Hope you have a fabulous holiday.

  5. I fast every day and it keeps me slim and healthy , it works great for me. I was worried when I saw the headlines about this but decided it was absolute nonsense . Thanks Liz

  6. So many people I know just in my small part of Somerset are falling ill with heart related issues, autoimmune issues, clots, the list goes on and on, and these are not old people 40/45, so I feel any ā€œstudyā€ that comes out atm is to explain away these sudden symptoms alot of people are having. What did 90% of the population take a couple years ago, could that be a contributor??

  7. Iā€™m totally confused and overwhelmed now by all the health advice in fact I may have to stop listeningā€¦itā€™s costing me a fortuneā€¦and no weight is coming offā€¦for ever bit of advice we get a counter warningsā€¦

  8. I don't buy newspapers, or watch the news, (taploid news) except newsnight on BBC 1, I like to listen to proper news, honest news,
Having said that, I always try to be sensible, listen to my body, I don't eat a meal everyday, (every other day), the day I don't eat, I will have bits like carrot or raw vegetables, just enough to keep me well,
It also depends on our bodies, we are all different, we are unique, so put that in mind, don't listen to everything you read, unless it is something sensible and honest,
    Thankyou Liz for your video,
    God bless šŸ˜Š

  9. Thank you Liz for providing the evidence based information regarding this nonsense headline news about intermittent fasting . I was waiting for your views on it , as i very much suspected you would want to set the record straight šŸ™ŒšŸ¼šŸ™ŒšŸ¼. When I first heard the headlines , I was instantly suspicious šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚, I suspected an ulterior motive was the reason this incorrect information was being portrayed through the media platforms. I too researched where this study had come from , and it actually made me laugh that it could even make the news šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø. The evidence based research surrounding time restrictive eating , and it having so many health and well being benefits for so very many people , including myself , and increasing in popularity , is not a good thing for profiting companies and certain institutions that benefit from people being sick and not well , would all have i am sure been supporting this latest so called information. Thank you for providing the facts , so that people can go on to make up their own minds about what choices they make for their own wellbeing, despite nonsense headlines like these trying to derail people for no doubt their own personal interests.

  10. I have been fasting now for about 2 years – I usually do 18 hours as a minimum every day, weekends sometimes may only be 15 or 16, but most weekdays are in excess of 20, regularly do a 24, and a couple of times a month a 42 – a great book is Fast, Feast Repeat by Gin Stephens – also keep up with Dr Mindy Pelz, who does a lot about fasting for women specifically, connected to your cycle and also for us menopause ladies. Dr Jason Fung is another. You do wonder about who is funding these 'trials' – its a bit like the nutrition advice given to trainee Vets being sponsored by the pet food manufacturers like Bakers! (shudder)

  11. Our ancestors were fasting in various ways in between hunting and gathering food. The human race would have been extinct 1,000s of years ago if this piece of crap courtesy of the corrupt AHA was true. Unfortunately a lot of people only see the sensational headlines from the equally corrupt media. Love Zoe and how she tears the constant stream of lies apart!
