Millions of dollars worth of marijuana products found in NYC warehouse

Police discovered millions of dollars worth of illegal marijuana products in a Brooklyn warehouse on Friday morning.

Cops responded to a burglary in progress at 65 Adelphi Street around 5:30 a.m. when they found three men inside and a “large quantity of marijuana and THC products,” police said.

The products were unregulated cannabis sent from overseas to be distributed to illegal pot shops throughout the Big Apple, the New York City Sheriff’s Office told WABC.

Among the pre-packaged contraband were marijuana and THC gummies.

The station quoted a City Hall spokesperson as saying it was one of their biggest operations against an illegal pot seller to date.

“Thanks to the hard work of both the New York City Sheriff’s Office and the NYPD, we conducted one of the largest operations against a cannabis distributor to date, seizing millions of dollars worth of products, including edibles, vapes, pre-rolls, and more,” the station said.

“One little package of edibles is 50 dollars and the money that’s made from the sale of these untested, illegal products is mind-boggling,” NYC Sheriff’s Office Commanding Officer Maureen Kokeas told the outlet.

Nigel Sandy, 37, of Brooklyn and Michael Davis, 37 and John Layne, 36, both from the Bronx, were arrested and charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools, police said.
