  1. Even if all farming used hemp as a cover crop and the hemp was harvested and used for products it would be a game changer. Quick notes hempcrete cannot replace concrete by itself because it doesnt have as high of a compressive strength but it can prevent structures from having moisture build up which is super good. Hemp plastics is what we should be using full stop. Composite hardwoods are possible with the wood cores. The fibers are great for textiles that have good strength and absorption also really good for animal bedding. But just like Solar energy hemp is great and renewable, which means for existing companies its not profitable. What that means is they cant continue to grow their bottom line indefinitely because they cant control the supply like with crude oil. The existing companies also wont allow new companies to take off they have too much influence, what this means is it would require the U.S. to dismantle these companies, take away their subsidies and give them to hemp or switch to a non capitalistic society.
