  2. My dog has had 11 seizures in the last seven months. They have taken his vision, his hearing and now it's crippling him. With the vision and hearing loss he looks drunk all the time and is constantly hitting his head and getting ulcers in his eyes because he runs into things so since he can't see he hits his eyeballs into things. He's on diazepam and Levetiracetam. He sometimes has cluster seizures. He's 15.5 y/o. His last seizure I now have to hold him to poo and sometimes to eat/drink water. These past two weeks he's been having accidents inside, since the last seizure. I HATE what seizures are doing to him. HATE IT!! I'm so angry. He was my husband's service animal and he was very, very good at his responsibilities in caring for his dad. I love this boy so much. With ea seizure he also loses weight. He was 35 lbs now he's 24. Like a commenter below said, she holds her dog while it's seizing. I do the same. I hold him tightly because he can't hear me but I need him to know I'm there with him. My heart goes out to all dogs who suffer seizures and to their owners who have to witness them. It's heartbreaking.

  3. Thank you so much for all the info! My 12 years old maltichon started to have seizures about 3 months ago. We are monitoring the dates and times to inform the vet. The hardest part is…. to be calm and… not cry.

  4. Trying to figure out right now if there is anything I can do to help her. It’s terrifying. Glad you said keep them cool as I thought she might need more heat as it is now snowing outside. Of course she is an indoor dog but I got it to hot in the room…

  5. My dog has has multiple seizures today…she has had them before but usually weeks apart. She is 10 and has other health issues. It seems to happen usually when she is asleep. They dont ladt very long, she foams at the mouth and pants for several minutes after she stops convulsing. She appears normal after she recovers…eating, going outside, etc. This is Christmas Eve so I know my Vet is not available.

  6. I just went through it with the puppy Yorky at six months old and emergency situation. You can dip your finger in Neutra cow and Cayenne pepper just a little bit put it underneath your tongue are on your tongue vitamin D3 I would say vitamin K2.

  7. Thanks so much for the helpful info. Our 8 year old West Asian Village Dog has just started having seizures at age 8. He has had 3 so far all approximately 5 weeks apart. He’s been to two vets and a veterinary neurologist and they can’t give us an answer. We are living so anxious and afraid to leave his side. Luckily I work at home so I can be with him all the time, but it’s hard to live like this. Im starting to think it could be from heat? He is from Russia with a very thick coat and low heat tolerance. We live in Sweden, but it can still get up around 30 celcius and high humidity here during summer.
We were thinking of trying CBD oil.

  8. My dog wines and paces prior to and between. She has only ever had multiple, 6 in a 3 hr. Period once. I started giving liver cleanse drops on a daily. She hasn't had one in months but continues to wine and pace.

  9. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, isn't that the saying? . Highly processed pet foods have created generations of nutritionally deficient dogs and cats, over vaccinating has damaged immunes, generations poisoned over and over again with spot ons and other preventive poisons.. (which are now being discovered in waterways and is also transferred to other pets, children and adults).
Yes, we humans have manufactured, the perfect pet!
The only way we're going to see less diseases is my preventing it. Lets focus on preventing instead of treating. It starts at conception and I hear it can take up to 3 generations before all these toxins are removed

  10. My Cane Corso has had 2 seizures. The first one was mild. But the one she had today lasted 5 minutes. When I tried to put a cold towel on her she became very aggressive towards me which caused my other Corso to hold her down. Once it safe I tried to approach her again. This time she tried to attack me. Which caused my other attack her. …It was horrible.. Is their anything else I can do ? I am so heart broken. As soon as my grandson comes home. I will take her to the vet..😢😢😢😢😢

  11. This was SO MUCH more helpful than 95% of the other videos about epilepsy in dogs! And epilepsy! And dogs! 😂 Most videos are clickbait but this was like an Introduction to Canine Epilepsy in school. And it really makes me feel better knowing I'm already doing the right things with my dog. She's an English Springer Spaniel and she gets what some call "Springer Rage Syndrome" which is kind of a misnomer, I think it's just a general dog fear response to feel fearful/aggressive during that pre-seizure phase…. Actually that's an idea for your channel, I think you should do a video on Springer Rage! There aren't many videos on it that are actually educational and informative!! You would knock it out of the ballpark.

  12. My 16 year old dog had a horrible seizure so I rushed him to ER. The acting Vet said that my dog could have brain cancer. I had my dog exrayed and he has a large mass near his lung . He is an older dog , therefore I do not want to do chemo if that is the case. Another vet advised me that he is on Palliative Care so just keep him comfortable. I have given him .5 Trazedone pill and Gabapentin (1 pill) to help him calm down and relax. Any recommendations?

  13. Thank you for the informative video. I have witnessed this our senior pup. Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot vets can do at this time due to possible under lying health conditions. When she came to and we just loved her and kept a calm environment. Hoping we don't witness any more, but it really helps to know more, then it's not as scary.

  14. My dog just started having episodes where she is just shaking like if she was scared that last for a hour and won't get up and walk and if she does try just sits there. She never has goes fully into seizure though. Does that still considered a seizure I took her to the vet they did blood work and everything was normal and say it may be seizures but they don't know
