RANDALIA, Iowa (KCRG) – A Fayette County man is facing multiple charges after law enforcement officials said they found a large marijuana growing operation and nearly 60 firearms at his home during a search on Monday.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office said the search warrant was executed at the home of 75-year-old Clyde Picket as they investigated an accident earlier Monday evening.
During the search at the home, in the 100 block of W Elm Street in Randalia, officials said they found and seized more than 300 marijuana plants, along with drying racks, plant hangers, and grow lights.
Additionally, a total of 58 firearms, including loaded assault rifles, shotguns and pistols, were seized in the search.
The sheriff’s office said Picket faces charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp, and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Picket is in custody at the Fayette County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
