Champion for passage of Florida’s medical marijuana amendment has died

Family and friends are remembering a champion for the passage of Florida’s medical marijuana amendment. Tim Morgan was part of the Morgan and Morgan Law Firm and, for a time, was head of its national call center. Along with his brother, John Morgan, Tim was a major part of the bus tours, rallies and hard work that resulted in the eventual passage of the amendment to legalize cannabis for patients.Related: Supporters, opponents of medical marijuana debate on WESH Tim Morgan was paralyzed as a teenager and passionately argued for alternatives to addictive pain medications. Tim Morgan died Saturday. He was 65 years old. A public funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 19, at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1020 Montgomery Road in Altamonte Springs.His family says in lieu of flowers, consider a donation to Canine Companions, or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Tim Morgan was paralyzed as a teenager and passionately argued for alternatives to addictive pain medications.
