  1. My benzodiazepine story is really one for the books and after seeing very professional psychiatrists and psychologists, there was a period of time where there was carbon monoxide exposure which seemed to precipitate extreme protracted withdrawals on the medication. No one could figure out what was going on. I still have questions. I would have to say it was way worse than my experience with methamphetamine. And probably more dangerous.

  2. You are all my friends. I'm on 6mg of Lorazepam to help me sleep, among a few other meds for panic attacks. That's 6 pills of Lorazepam. Even if I reduce it by just HALF a pill, I notice a big difference. Takes me much longer to get to sleep, it's a restless sleep and a wake up tired the next day. It should be pulled off the shelves, but I hope one day I can do this.

  3. This video is pretty old, but I'm trying to get off of Klonopin. Right now I'm drinking a couple of beers every day, to deal with it. It seems like I was taking a small amount and having breaks in between. If anybody sees this and can talk with me about it in the comments section, I would appreciate it. I think I need somebody with experience to talk with.

  4. Ok so how do you even know what’s what .? You for example start a Benzo because you have crippling anxiety for hours day after day and the benzo reduces the anxiety … then you stop and feel shitty as when you started the benzo .. is this the benzo fault or your anxiety just come back .?

  6. Only questiion whats left is it worse than Effexor withdrawal? I know some people who experience both and most of them said that benzos are nothing compare to 10 years of Effexor.

  7. I’m supposedly in the final week of my tapering off regime,I’m down to 0.25mg lorazepam a day, then in 7days stop,I feel crap, but I can’t wait to be free,I wasn’t on a big dose,Just 3 mg lorazepam a day,but for 2.5yrs !!!!,Without review !!!,Doctor in UK gave me these to combat anxiety and nerves after losing my mum But I had nervousness before that So at the time they were welcome,But to be on them for 2.5 years is mad without reviews etc,Now thanks to that dr I’m suffering coming off them.

  9. I really want to get off these Clonazepam pills. I recently tried to taper myself much to quickly and ended up having a seizure. Do you know of any good doctors to speak to about this issue in Thailand? Probably not, but I really want to get of these things. The need for them has long been over and I thought I could just get off of them like everything, but nope 10 stitches later above my eye after seizing and smacking my head on the ground and I won't ever try that again on my own. I never want to go through that nightmare again.

  10. I still drink a lot of beer. I was cut off cold turkey from Xanex two years ago. It’s probably the beer but I shake every day even after drinking a good amount of beer. It stops temporarily after drinking like 12 beers over a 4 or 5 hours time frame. I did stop drinking for about two months when I went to treatment. Of course I know drinking alcohol doesn’t help and I’m not asking that! I’m asking if withdrawal from Xanax lasts more than a couple years? I was on it for about 9 years or probably longer? I can’t remember!

  11. Thank you doctor. Such an extensive explanation of this epidemic. Unfortunately, benzodiazepines can be helpful, yet destructive at the same time. I’ve been struggling with benzos myself. It’s a long journey, but I’m staying positive. Much love from Michigan!

  12. At 7 minutes into it you said " skyrocketed 3 or 400 %, I don't have the exact data"
Well, when making sensationalist claims, shouldn't you have the most up to date scientific consensus? Xanax produces low causality rates except in combinations with other substances. You are correct when mentioning that some people do in fact need it long term. My body was mangled by a dry k driver 12 years and for years I 'be been on 6mg daily, therapist 4times a month, see my shrink monthly and a psychologist twice yearly to track a TBI. Benzodiazepines have played an enormous, positive role in my treatment and I'd probably be dead by now w/o them.

  13. From Medicine Hat Alberta Canada it nice to have to great its a blessing I found you I’m at my wits end dealing with Anxiety and depression . I wish you were in Canada I would love to meet you in person. I’m a 61 year old Male and are terrified about coming off of Xanax as my Doctor don’t want to prescribe benzo anymore. She wants to start taper it’s very scary time for Me as I live alone but do have family in town . Thank you so much your a Breath of fresh air God bless ❤ 🙏

  14. 10 years of heavy benzo use. Up and down in dosage regardless I'm afraid I will never be the same. I do not have the luxury of dyeing in bed for months what should I do? From Xanax to Clonazepam back and forth depending on level of anxiety. With out benzos I feel like I'm going to die. I can't function what so ever. I think I have damaged my brain to the point of no return. Can I come back? I get so anxious that I fear I might take my life if I ever run out.
