  1. The secondary may not have been tested much yet, but you can tell by the way they play that they are far more aggressive in coverage and they aren’t letting anyone get behind them. The know the defensive line is going to force a hurry or a scramble. The tackling has also been outstanding (which may have the biggest impact). Can’t state enough how good the tackling has been. Even when KC for NC State beat Boo on the weird formation, Boo still made an exceptional open field tackle on one of the more elusive players in CFB. That has not been talked about enough.

  2. If we get up 17-0 this time…I don’t think any Baker Mayfield type heroics are going to happen….Botch Jonze ain’t walkin in that door to save the Sooners this time. Heupel ain't gonna play not to pose with a big lead.

The best hope for Okie is a slow start by Tennessee that snowballs and causes Tennessee to get frustrated and in their own heads. Thinking instead of playing.

If we stay calm and loose…really what I mean is..If NICO and the Ol stays calm and loose…eventually they will roll.

  3. I think there will be a play or two where Nico displays his youth, but that’s not going to be nearly enough to be very harmful to our overall outcome. This Tennessee Defense is entirely too deep, and filled with a pack of hungry dawgs just looking for another bite off the bone, so to speak. This is our “coming out party” game, where we put the entire SEC & the rest of the country on notice. Nico throws for 300+ and probably rushes for 50+ and in total, he accounts for 3 TD’s
DSamp runs for another 100 & 2 TD’s. Our Defense makes a statement, holds OU’s offense under 300 total yards and Vols win easily
    UT-48
    OU-17
