I like something sweet after dinner too. I started eating dove dark chocolate, it’s so rich 1 or 2 is enough for me. I also make “energy balls” with peanut butter, oats, honey, and chocolate chips. A couple of those is enough for me too. It’s really just finding what satisfies you that can be smaller quantity or larger quantity but healthier.
I have a friend with Endo. She has made a remarkable improvement giving up caffeine and wheat. I have no idea if it will work for everyone but it might be worth a try
"Stay away from the old foods" is GOLD! I went back to the old comfort foods at Holiday time and woke up the sugar dragon….40 lbs later I'm back on the right track. It's a LOUD message. You got this!!
I'm 45 years old and completely stuck. I've been trying to get out of my skinny fat body for almost 2 years. I eat whole foods in a small surplus, track macros, testosterone and blood work are good, full body 3 days a week in the gym, pretty good and consistent sleep, no produced foods, followed anabolic and absolutely no results. I haven't gotten stronger, look worse than when I started and somehow ended up with high cholesterol after all of this effort. Please someone give me some tips or something.
Wow man. I’m Canadian and that first caller has some kind of crazy Canadian accent. He sounds like the Americans do when they make fun of our accent, lol. I promise we don’t all sound like that 😂
If you grow stronger each and every workout means you are doing everything correctly – how you feel it does not matter! If you want to feel good better go for relaxing walk in the park, lifting weights is hard physical activity and is more concerning if you don't feel tired after training! If you don't balance volume and intensity is very likely you won't progress unless you take drugs ofc…
The woman asking about trauma – something VERY similar happened to me – I had to completely shake up my hormones through taking a cortisol manager which a doctor who was on this podcast recommended through Integrative Therapeutics (can just get on amazon), magnesium, vitamin b, c, and d with food, fiber soluable and insoluable (fiber One packets 1-3 packets a day) and glp-1 powder every day that is the actual glp1 and not a like-hormone. this helped more than lexapro did for my depression and it helped me lose weight after a four year struggle with my weight where I gained 80 pounds and ultimately had to have surgery to remove endometrial tissue. I also later found out I had developed an allergy to ibuprofen which I was recommended to take every day. All symptoms kind of happened at weird times, so I can't be super sure which caused what, but 100% the hormone balancing helped the depression, weight, satiety, and I was lifting less and feeling way better and losing weight!
Surprised coke, ketamine, pot and roids wasn't mentioned. You guys have had amazing results through doing all above 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
99% chance that this will go unanswered, but to the last female vet bravely calling in, I am in the same boat as you and I know how much the military weight standards can screw you up. If there is any way to get in contact, please let me know. Any support would be greatly appreciated after all these years without much help.
Adam never can bring himself to respect women enough to call them women. He always refers to women as GIRLS! Says a lot about how you feel about women.
I do enjoy the podcast a lot. But the more episodes that go by the more Adam gives off very narcissistic and manipulative vibes with what sounds like making fun of his son being so sensitive or stories with his wife… not sure how well that goes down
I woke up to my boyfriend having a seizure but I didn’t know that’s what was happening to him. I seriously thought he was dying. His hands were in the air, he was foaming out the mouth and his face was pitch red like he wasn’t getting any air. He was making this long sound and the way he was looking at me was so terrifying. Apparently he was withdrawing from norcos, that I obviously was unaware of, then it turned into a full blown seizure. Scariest day of my life and that image will forever be engraved in my mind.
This episode kind of reminds me of the 80/20 rule for running that I think his name is Matt Fitzgerald wrote. When training for races, 80% of runs are low intensity, pace runs and not high intensity race pace.
Common error many think is you always need to run farther and faster and that always leads to worse development, and more injuries..
I drank a sugar free rock star every morning for over 20 yrs. Decided to quit so that I could start drinking more water and I too had the worst headaches for the 1st week. It was awful. But the thing was I didn’t feel any better one way or the other. My sleep pattern/energy didn’t change at all after quitting. I seriously just looked forward to that taste of it 1st thing in the morning.
Wow, deep episode today ❤ i appreciate the reference to attachment theory and how to work on ourselves in order to nurture relationships. Also big thank you to the folks who called in and were vulnerable about their experiences with mental well-being along their fitness journeys. Big hugs to you all ❤
😂 my grandma used to greet us w her upper eyelids flipped inside out. She was say come give grandma a kiss. Used to freak us out when me and my sisters were little 😂😂😂😂 she had a sense of humor
51:35: Not sure what he refers to as really wild progressive movements and immoral crazy "things" in the Weimar Republic. Also, the parlamentary elections in Germany are a percentual representation, not winner takes all. You vote for a party, not for a person. So, the Nazis did get the most votes of all the parties, but still not enough for a majority.(~40%) Which means they had to build a coaltion with other parties. They found partners, Hitler became chancellor and about a year later they have gotten rid of all red lines and saveguards that could hold them back. So, no: Hitler didnt win an election, but the Nazis did and Hitler became their candidate for chancellor.
I’m 6’1 320 lb 43 years old truck driver with high blood pressure. Doing full body strength training twice a week and walking for 30 minutes every day. I have severe sleep apnea and religiously use a cpap. Looking to lose fat, build muscle, and lower my blood pressure asap.
Great video! I remember not being aware of my body when I switched my diet to eating plant based. Yes I loss over 40 lbs but physically, I did not look fit even though I worked out consistently. But just like mentioned in this video, I was working out too hard and it wasn’t good for my body. I just recently shared my journey on my page by going from 16% body fat to 11.9% body fat in just a month.
The marriage stuff.. all that's in the Bible. Men want respect women want love that's in Ephesians…. but people dont wanna go to the source
Great show again lads, keep safe and hope the fires haven't effected you too badly
Can someone answer a question for me?
Im 25 years old 6’2 260 trying to lose weight and gain muscle
Is it possible to gain muscle with only a 25 lb dumbbell working out from home?
Life is crazy and can’t really get to the gym

"We have roots"…… absolutely.
Banting/Keto/lchf diet works wonders on Epilepsy. Worth checking out if you or someone you know is suffering from this, especially kids.

I feel so bad for that last caller, but I’m sure with the help of the boys and the forum, she will overcome that hurdle. Great episode

Thank you! I’m currently overtraining. I need to listen to my body and get more rest.
Methylene blue, talk about it. Seems to help with brain fog and the energy crash from caffeine, and a lot more
