Thanks for the information. The sad part your Vet isn't going to tell you. You have to ask about every single time. Unless you find that Unicorn Vet that will try everything else and still tell you the consequences of everything they are going to try on your family pet.
Thank you for sharing about this drug. It's unbelievable to me that the FDA cannot exert its power to at the very least make Zoetis change its labeling. I've been so wary of Librela since it came out in the states – while it has worked for some, I think of it as a last resort option. We used some pharmaceuticals, but I must say that massage and heating pads did a lot to help keep our lab comfortable her last years with us. She LOVED our daily sessions and so did I.
Tula is a TERRIBLE example of the acupressure point 😂 …that pup is an absolute saint! She's always chill, always tolerant of ypur filming and poking around on her. She's the goodest girl 🤎🐾
My god I'm so glad u do videos like this I can't believe they even put this stuff out on rhe market it's shameful and these money hungry jerks should be held accountable ty doc
Thirteen year old English Pointer, on a lot of pain killers, upset digestion due to medication and he was generally not happy. He went on the original trial for Librela and within one week was off all painkillers and digestive medication. He walked well with his head up. Three years later he is still with us on no other medication other than YouMove . The statistics should have been presented.
I am saddened that some have lost their loved ones and that is indeed painful, but what are the percentages and statistics, how many doses have been administered.
The data needs investigation but most of those on this channel are looking for solutions to their dogs health issues as was I with my other dog Banjo but you have to keep a perspective so the comments are more likely to reflect adverse reactions (some unrelated to Librela) that does not mean that this medication is not useful more that further understanding as to when it is appropriate to administer. Q: how many dogs are on the medication Q: how many dogs lives have been improved by this medication. 4000 cases out of how many doses ?. Balance the argument
Unfortunately this data comes from experience and that journey is painful. Elgin is alive and enjoying his old age he responded well to Librela and I am grateful for that.
I had to put my 10 year old Lab down within 36 hours of her first Librela shot. Within the first 12 hours of injection, she started to seizure and then it was every 6 hours afterward. There's no way to reverse the neurological damage. I was told it was safe, effective and convenient for her arthritis and the only side effect might be some pain at the injection site. After she had to be put down, I read Zoetis' study and it was dismal! This drug should never have been approved. It's more critical than ever to do your own research before administering any drug. Thank you so much for talking about this Dr. Jones.
Dr.Jones, the ONLY vet doctor who really cares about the world of animals. he's not just talking about what you can do to help your pets, he tells you and shows you what to do. and the best thing he does is Dr.Jones tell the truth…. something you will never hear out there in the real world. thank you Dr.Jones.
HAPPY NEW YEAR. Hope & Pray 🙏 for you & your Wife & Kids you are not effected by the California Fires. We live in Central Kentucky in Lewisburg KY we are 9 miles out in the Country 9 miles from Russellville ky Walmart. We have had cold wrather & rain.
Important note: My wife lost her pupmate frenchie only 7 years old after 2nd shot. Do not even consider this drug until you research this fully. Vets are not deep diving into research and drug manufacture isn’t fully disclosing that any preexisting neurological issues will explode with this drug administered in some instances. We are devastated at the loss of this otherwise healthy and happy dog.
You ever see the side effects warning on our human drugs ?? Why is pets any different??? They are now trying to kill our pets !! Pet Food poisoning included!
SPREAD THE WORD- I have been putting links at the bottom of my personal emails, regarding the FDA and AVMA (letters sent to all vets), YT videos that warn people and the FB titled page- LIBRELA (BERANSA, SOLENSIA)- The TRUTH. And I tell anyone that will listen to the horror we witnessed, and endured after his 1 and only shot.
People have the responsibility to investigate and deeply research anything they put in their pets as well as on their own bodies. I stopped taking my dog to vet long time ago after being robbed of thousands of dollars and having her getting sicker and sicker after each visit , she’s turning 10 in a couple of months and had never been healthier. No kibble, no vaccines, no meds , only natural everything as with Dr Jones recommendations.
Big p. harm a and the fda are criminal organizations (just my opinion) and vets are brainwashed by them and the vet schools. Everyone needs to do their own due diligence before giving any prescription drug to their animal.
My poor dog had an injection on December 17,2024….she died on Jan.4. It was horrible; stopped eating, drinking, wobbly legs. She went downhill very rapidly after day 4. I am more than angry that the vet said nothing about potential lethal side effects at all.
All RX drugs are dangerous even if you may not see it. Always find a natural version. Chl o rine di ox ide is an amazing antibiotic, anti fungal, antiviral, and it's super cheap. Just have to learn how to use it in various situations. Had to write it as I did because otherwise my commitment will be removed. 🙊
Didn’t this guy stop practicing in 2010 or something?
Most cases (around 70%) saw the issues after the INITIAL dose. (30% in the first day).
A lot of patients have actually benefited from Librela, and have a better Quality of Life.
Librela is a monoclonal antibody that is metabolized and eliminated like natural antibodies (putting minimal strain on the liver/kidneys). Often it is considered a safer alternative to NSAIDS in certain cases (as NSAIDS have a higher risk due to how they are metabolized; and bloodwork is regularly done to ensure your pets liver and kidneys are healthy when on NSAIDS).
My female 11 year old golden retriever was started on this medication and was on it 3 months. Her pain did seem to be resolved. However when we went in to have her teeth cleaned her liver enzymes levels were seriously high. I immediately took her off this medication as she had very good blood levels previously. When monitored for the next two months her liver enzymes were back to normal. Not sure if this medication was the cause but I did find it very suspicious. I am so glad we caught this early.
DR J THANK YOU FOR THIS INFORMATION. PLEASE PERFORM AN INDEPENDENT analysis so we are able to know all the content of this TEST INJECTION . to me it sounds like a trial on the public and using our love animals as lab rats.
Any information on if this has caused liver issues? My 12-year-old beagle has had five librela injections, She recently developed a serious UTI (She has never had one before) that took several rounds of antibiotics to clear up. 6 months ago at her annual checkup her blood work was fine except for her thyroid, she's been on medication for that. Now it's all over the place. The vet recommended an abdominal ultrasound and found she has tumors in her liver and her bladder wall is still very thick from the infection.
My vet gave my 17 year old Yorkie a shot of Librela a few months back. He seemed to be doing better, he had arthritis in his rear legs. She gave him a second shot, again he was doing better. BUT, when I researched the horrible side effects, including death or having to Euthanize your pet because of the horrible side effects that could occur, I told her NO MORE SHOTS…and why? She didnt seem phased at all. Sadly, my dog passed this Dec from old age and kidney failure. He was having kidney issues before the Librela but who knows of that poison exacerbated his condition.
My poor doggo was killed by this piece of …. it is used in Poland very often. I didn't know Zoetis was a subsidiary of Pfizer – that way I would be able to know….
Buon giorno dottore….io faccio cytopoint alla mia bassottina di 11 anni per allergia , ma soffre anche di IBD…CYTO è sicuro???? Temo che abbia delle controindicazioni che il vet non dice
I know about way more dogs that are only able to walk thanks to Librela (because some other medications are not analgesic enough or have other worse side effects) than dogs that had adverse reactions. Everything is a risk and that's why you should talk to your veterinary doctor and decide at every moment what works best for your dog. Don't go for all or nothing. Everything but everything has good and bad things, and that's why we need the professionals to help us getting that balance.
Thank you so much for this information, my Bichon Polly is 14 years old today!!! I put her longevity down to listening to your advice over there the years. Btw you're still brilliant!!!!
My boy took Librela. He was 14 years old and he did have issues with his back. But he still jumped around like a pup when he was excited. After he took Librela, he was slower and died a month later. I don't remember, but I believe he took the 2 doses. I asked the vet about Librela and she insisted it had nothing to do with it. But I've always had my doubts. This was in 2021 here in Europe.
I was told about this shot from the person who rescued my little boy. My boy is a survivor of distemper, he takes medication for seizures, he got his first and for sure last shot yesterday, I feel so bad, I need to monitor him very closely. I found great vitamins with all the ingredients you suggest Dr. Jones, I am just praying he doesn't have any side effects from the shot. Regards, very concerned mom.
My wonderful dog Caprio died of convulsions hours after his third shot of Líbrela. The vet never spoke of convulsions as a side effect, so I now know to ask about side effects. I will never go to the vet again, he was a wonderful dog. I would not recommend this drug.
Thanks for the information.

My cat had 3 seizures following Solensia (Librela for cats). Fortunately she survived them, but I have taken her off the drug now.

My vet tried to get me to use on my lab. Nah. Sounded fishy

Solensia is the same for cat so what do you think about it Dr ?? Is it safe for our cat ???

“With over 21 million doses distributed globally, no individual adverse event sign has been reported at a rate higher than rare, as defined by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) – representing less than 10 occurrences per 10,000 treated animals (where one dose equals one treated animal).” ( https://news.zoetis.com/press-releases/press-release-details/2024/Zoetis-Statement-on-the-Safety-of-Librela/default.aspx )
Figured I’d throw some of that out there. : )
Thank you for your honesty and for educating us! Please keep up the good work.

More please on diabetes and propolis.
Don’t worry, I’m sure they will be approving it for humans regardless. 😮

These side effects should have been established during early trials, the drug should never have been approved for consumption.

I switched our dogs food to Fromm no grain, I add olive oil, tumeric and a egg. Has helped him tremendously reduce arthritis.
Ha ha old school Letter from far away Letter box or P. O. Box 😂❤
